On a separate note...the....(ahem) "adult freebie" from last week came really quickly. :rolleyes1 (make your own joke...but this is a family site...lol)

We received it on Monday.

This is all going in my report.....:rotfl:

I find it particularly funny that our avonlady knew the link! Why I find that ironic I don't know....just something about avon ladies....:rotfl2:

This thread is becoming funnier by the day!

I've been telling my girlfriends at work about the freebie thread, and they are slowly coming to the darkside...no worries, I think I have another taker for your adult freebie!

Thanks again to the poster of the $8 pet food coupon...my dog Tiger thanks you, those are always appreciated, dog food prices can be astronomical!

I am so glad that someone took advantage of my...ahem...adult freebie! Enjoy!;) Got lots of teasing, but no one up until this point said (admitted) they had purchased. :thumbsup2

And if I don't receive my undies I'm gonna go HUNTING!

I got one too. ;) :rolleyes1 It did arrive very quickly.

I have no idea why, but our local grocery store (NC based) often has these on sale for $2 per bottle. I have some stocked up now and hope to find some more to stock up on. I love this stuff!

Dawn

I had seen the John Frieda no frizz before, but this is the first time I saw the color. My daughter just started using this and it's $10 a bottle - but she really likes it and uses once a week. :cheer2:

Someone a while back asked for free fabric. Found a site offering free swatches...hope it's helpful.

That was me... Thank You! I'm gonna bookmark the site, did not see any thing about what size the swatches were. But as long as they are bigger then my hand, I can usually find a use for them! Also got a PM from a few of you... just have to get back to them!
Thanks to all!
I now have "volunteered" to do costumes for 3 shows, and for my DSs GF and their group that are going down to WDW in 2 weeks for MNSSHP, I get to do Tink, Peter, Wendy and a few lost boys... maybe Hook. I got the fabric, now I need to go and find the battery lights for the Tink dress and wings....
Wish they were free! Or at least a ton of batteries!

Reason for request:
Must be reason for our mission please, if it is not it will not be processed. Our volunteers use their own supplies and money for postage so please understand these are not birthday gifts etc…they are for those who are in need of hope.

Our Mission:
Our mission is to help people send a message of hope and caring by providing them a symbol and the means to deliver it. By offering our crocheted angels, butterflies, and smiley faces free of charge, anyone can touch the life of those in need of hope.

I think they do this at all Home Depots, they have in the two cities I have lived in the past 10 years. The first Saturday of the month they set up an area for kids to build something. It is a kit of precut wood, all they have to do is nail and glue the pieces together. They get an apron and a pin along with their project. My HD doesn't require preregistration, the other one took names down on a list. Call your local HD to see if they offer this project-usually from 9:00-12:00. The kids love it, and the projects always turn out really cute. Last month's was a little coat hanger with a football cutout on it. Takes about 15 minutes.

There should be one the weekend after next, October 6, I think. Call first.
