Thre is a ad out there that if you spend 10.00 (starting today) at participating stores you can pick a free Webkinz. You can go to Webkinz.com to see if there is one near you.

I just checked and the store down the street from us is listed, I am going over there later to see if they are running the deal as it states that it is not guaranteed, or something like that - thanks for the info, my dd's will be happy!

I believe it is 1 per person---I received 2 today (my hubby got one). Mine sayd if you have the kids with you & you spend 30.00 you are able to get 1 per person. Good luck.

I don't get out of work until five tonight. I found a store at the mall, but I'll call to see if they have any left before I leave. The calendar of events doesn't start until 5pm, so maybe the free ones don't start until then?

The Hallmark store I went to today had 500 free Webkinz alotted for the weekend. You had to choose from a select group. It was a decent selection.
We also got a Webkinz punch card, buy 10 Webkinz, get one free.
It would have been nice to have one of those 10 Webkinz ago!
We also got a Hallmark $5 off coupon if you spend $25.
It sounds like each store hosting the Webkinz Extravaganza weekend event will be unique in its own way.

Just came back from the store - I bought 1 regular webkinz at full price and had a choice for one of the free ones - they had a pretty decent selection, they were all in boxes, stacked in the corner of the store - I have a feeling they won't go through all of them, we're in a pretty small town, and they had alot of boxes of free ones

I had to go shopping for a b'day present for a friend today. I bought a webkinz for him, and DS5 got to choose a free one. He's thrilled!

The store I went to has events starting at 5pm, but the freebies were available all day!

Our store had the Wheel of Wow spin all day, along with a scavenger hunt in the store, coloring pages and the free Webkinz deal. I made a purchase of over $35. The woman said something about you two getting a free Webkinz. (I had both of my kids with me.) They were each able to pick one. I would have split my purchase if I had to because one Webkinz and two kids would have been a huge issue!

As we were driving home, my 9-year-old DS says, "This is the best day ever!"

We just got back from Justice. DD got a cute new skort from the clearance rack for $15.00, and a new lion Webkin for free .

She's a happy camper today!

Thanks for the reminder! I got mine today. The clerk said that their store was only given 376 kinz to give away. (Perhaps larger stores got the 500?) She said that they divided their free ones into three groups so they'd have some to give away each day.

Another excuse for me to go to my local Hallmark store and buy another Vera Bradley bag!!!LOL

Both my kids got to pick out a free Webkinz and also got that punch card noted above. They also each got a webkinz gift bag. Then they got to spin the wheel of wow that was set up in the store. DS won a free fruit roll up, and DD won a Webkinz figure.

Not bad for $85

The gift store we like at has started focusing more on TY online than webkinz so they weren't participating but gave DD7 a free webkinz gift bag just because she looked so disappointed. The owner is a friend and told us that she still thought it was a great deal for merchants as well as kids but her store just wasn't large enough to handle that much foot traffic on what is a really busy weekend in our area anyway. According to her - stores were offered one free webkinz for each one they ordered for the event.

Heading down to the next shop in town that features the critters, we bought two webkinz - the talking zingoz and a cocker spaniel and got two free, a leopard and a tabby cat for atotal of $27.85 after tax for 4. Their wheel of wow hadn't arrived as promised so they were using a box to draw coupons from. If you got a paper with a star on it, you could choose from a mouse pad, a pack of webkinz cards, a gift bag or a magnetic bookmark. No star equaled a lollipop. Both my girls ended up with lollipops but the prizes weren't that awesome anyway so they were fine with it. The owner there told me she'd had 11 big boxes of the free webkinz (not sure how many that is) and had gone thru 4 already just today. We live in a small town and she was the only store doing it today. I got there at 5:10 so she thought perhaps they wouldn't be doing it on Sunday after all if sales stayed at the current rate. Other moms in the store also got one free webkinz for each $10 they spent, not just one per purchase. The webkinz bears were nearly gone so I guess that's a really popular one to choose.
I left wishing I thought about buying a pack of cards so I hit $30 for the third webkinz but this wasn't a planned excursion. The prices at this store are higher than the two other in our town - $14.95 for regular size and $10.95 for lil kinz.

The last store on our list is next to the pizza place so you know what we for dinner. Both this last store & the first shop charge $10.95 for regular size and $8.95 for lil kinz - a much better deal than the specialty store or the Hallmark in the next town. It's a pharmacy and they're doing the special tomorrow between 11-2 though that wasn't communicated very well because while we were there, four other families came in for webkinz specials also. The good thing is that the $10 purchase can be anything except prescriptions, not just webkinz so I'm making a plan and sending mom in for birthday cards and stuff too which she buys there all the time anyway. I'll call before they close tonight and ask them to hold the ones we need. I'm expecting there to be quite a line even though this store isn't planning any special extra activities.

From what we've seen and been told, there are 14 "free" webkinz to choose from. I looked at all of them lined up waitng for tomorrow at the pharmacy but can't remember all of them now, I'm missing one... free choices included - the pig, cow, green frog, white poodle, a tan 2 color dog, leopard, tiger, lion, bear, tan lab, tabby, white persian, balck & white kitty, and ?
Does anybody know if any of these are retiring soon or already retired by chance?

My daughter and I went to Hallmark this afternoon. We each bought a Lil Kinz, which were $10, then each got a free Webkinz. We both spun the Wheel of Wow, her getting a balloon, me getting a surprise which meant I got to pick something off a certain shelf. I picked a little coin purse for DD. They also had the punch cards and a couple other guessing games.

I'm in Lorain which is way north from Columbus and our Baskets of Blessings store had the webkinz giveaway. My son-in-law went this morning and I took my granddaughter this afternoon after work. She is really only starting to do the webkinz so she only has a few. Today she ended up with six! She was so excited! She says "I'm such a lucky girl to have such a wonderful grammie like you!" Made me cry and then of course we had to stop at the Dairy Queen! Extra XXXX and OOOOO for her that's for sure!
