Free WDW trip 2.0!!!

Ok....so we are starting to pull the plans together for this year's "Free" trip to the world

DH will once again be working at the World for Thanksgiving this year so we get a free hotel room for the week!!!

We arrive on 11/21 and are counting the days till then!

Still have no idea what hotel...but I am sure that it will be a deluxe one. But does it really matter?!? We will be at the world right?

So to keep me in a Disney frame of mind....if money were no object (i.e someone else is footing the bill ) where would you want to stay?

Do you mind me asking what your husband does that requires him to work at WDW for a week? Lucky you and your family! If I had a free room, I'd definitely pick the Poly. I would LOVE to stay there!

I would probably lean Poly, but it is Christmas decoration time, so then WL and GF sound quite nice.

If slightly off-site is an option, there's the Waldorf..

@nifferearly my DH works in television and will be working a college basketball tournament for the week. While he works DD and I will play in the parks and the pool for what ever resort they put us in. Last year it was the YC! DD loved SAB!!

Love the suggestions of Poly (which is a distinct possibility!)...but love WL too!

It is a win win no matter where we stay 'cause we are in the "World" right?!?

Any other suggestions?

I thought of asking if it was the Old Spice Classic at WWOS. Can it be any better than Disney World and college basketball?

If I were going to the tourney, I would probably choose Epcot area (because the only regular WWOS bus runs from DHS.
Might be fun to try YC as that gets you SAB

Ok now I see you mentioned YC. So try BC?
I do think Poly would be the other pool worth skipping SAB for. (Although Nov can give you a week a bit cool for pool time)

@hakepb I would guess it is the Old Spice Tourny...we do love college sports, but tend prefer football over basketball.

DD and I don't go to any of the games, we just play in the parks! Loved staying at YC cause we could walk into EPCOT any time. But would love to do BC, GF, Poly, WL or any others since we just look at it as an adventure and let DH's company plan the hotel.

I thought that it was too cool to swim last year, but DD said the water was great and loved swimming everyday!

I will keep you guys posted on what they decide!!

If you could get it, THV would get you near DTD if you wanted to shop (and SSR's 2 "feature" pools)

..But it would not be as easy going to parks..

And if someone else is paying I would prefer the variety of something DVC points cannot normally provide. (I know there's the Disney collection but that's a lot of points outside the villas)

Yep...we look at this as seeing how the other folks do Disney. We do miss our villas and the extra room. But it is great to see some of the other resorts too. We really think it will be one of the EPCOT resorts because they are so close to the event.
