Free water at CS locations?

Can you get a free cup of ice water at all counter service locations or only at Casey's?

I've never had a CS place or snack place turn me away when I have asked for ice water. Since I have no problem drinking Orlando water, such a great way to go!

In PA, it's state law for amusement parks to provide free ice water, and I believe it's the same in Florida. I've always been able to get ice water when I ask.

I posted this on another thread also - we have been asking for cups of ice water for years and only once have we ever been told no. We were at Aloha Isle getting Dole Whips (yummy) and asked for cups of ice water also. The guy told us no - that they weren't allowed to do that. After questioning him he admitted that his manager told them not to give out ice water because then they don't sell as much bottled water. He did eventually "make an exception" and give us our ice water. Other than that one time, never encountered any other problems. I remember one time when we were still "new" to getting water, we asked a CM in front of Columbia Harbour House if we could just get a cup of water. He told us yes and that we could just go to the front of the line and ask for a cup. I told him I would prefer to get in line - didn't want to get dirty looks from people standing in line. He told us to wait right there. A few minutes later he came back out with 3 large cups of water for us. That made our day.

NJ as well. I have always received water at all CS in WDW. They sometimes will give a cup of ice if there is a water faucet available but we have always had no problem with this even if food courts!!

Just returned yesterday, and I can confirm that you can get ice and or ice water at any location. Also, if you have a car go to one of the Hess Stations on property. 20oz sodas and 1 liter bottles of Dasani water are 2 for $2.22. We stopped daily for soda/water as I do not like Central Florida tap water. But the filtered water in the parks at CS is fine....or atleast it seems filtered.

Just out of curiosity, when did this happen? I used to work for the department that ran Aloha and was never told to do anything like this. I'm curious to know when the management got (even more) ridiculous.

It is FL state law. If they have a soda fountain, they must give you free ice water upon request.
