Free video rentals at VWL?

Did I read somewhere that DVC Members can rent Disney movies for free at VWL? That would be great, but I just don't want to feel like an idiot asking at the front desk if there is no such thing.

I sure wish the search feature worked so I could just search for this topic.

Yes you can.
I have done this at OKW. It is free for all DVC members!!

Did you go to the front desk to do this, or is there information about doing it in the rooms?

At OKW you go to the Hanks Rentals windows.
I am not sure how it works at VWL. I am sure the info is probably in the packet they give you when you check in.

Just ask the cashier at the Mercantile Exchange (aka gift shop). Pick your movie out of a card catalog and they will get it for you after you sign for it. Remember only 1 bedrooms and up have VCR's.

I had a very funny incident regarding videos, we were at Vero in an Inn room, saw that you could rent videos, sent my 7 year old daughter down with my then 15 year old cousin, they got about 3 videos, came back to the room and we went to dinner. Late that night, they wanted to watch videos, we searched high and low and couldn't find a VCR, called the front desk, and they said, sorry the Inn rooms don't have VCRS!!! We were not owners so paid alot for the videos, went down the next morning and they were more than happy to take the charges off my bill. So the standing joke no matter where we are is "Is there a VCR"!!!

While there this past December we wanted to see Monster's Inc.
They did not have the video, which we thought was strange (being a Disney production and not a recent release). So we asked why they did not have it and we were told that the video library was stocked when the Villas opened (Dec 2000) and has not been added to since.
