Free/Time Table for Park Purchases to Resort?

Hey there! We are leaving for Disney in 3 days and will be staying on-property for the first time. I've been reading about sending your park purchases back to your Disney room. Is there a fee for this? Also, what's the turn around for them? Will it show up that night, the next day, two days later, etc?

I'm thinking this might be a fun way to surprise DD with a gift or two, but I want more information first.

There is no fee to have items sent from a Disney shop to your resort. You must pick up your item (typically at the gift shop of the hotel). They typically show up at the resort by 1PM the following day. You should not be sending items to your room when you leave the following day, there can be delays sometimes.
