free tickets to Kennedy Space Center

Minnie - Nice to know we've apparently got a congressman with a competent staff. Good luck!

Just curious.... when you first wrote them- what did you write? I mean how did you word it, what info did you give, etc?

If you didn't give enough info the first time and the requested more info- what info was requested of you? thanks!

I am still waiting to hear back from ours! They seemed to be on the ball, and requested around Dec 1st (our cruise is May 22nd) wich is a few days after the 6 month mark. we are still waiting to see if we got the tickets!

Judging by everyone else's response I have been lucky (but I don't have cinfirmation yet!). I contacted him through his website. And explained that I was looking for an educational opportunity for my girls on my vacation and heard congreemen might be able to help secure some KSC tickets. I new from the previous board threads to include number of tickets ages and dates. I heard back within a week but am know waiting for confirmation. Good Luck!

I am still waiting to hear...I wrote again yesterday (its been a month since I have heard from her)...I'm hoping we can get tickets!

I got the launch ticket answer too. I have copied and pasted responses, with a link to this thread, as a new email to my congressman, hope it will help! We'd love to go in October.

Thanks to all who have answered this thread!

My Congressman's office called me the other day (Congressman Cooper!) and his aide asked if I was talking about launch tickets. I told her that I was looking for museum tickets. She said she'd look into it and let me know. If we can get them, great! If not, oh well!

I recieved an e-mail from my congressman's office today comfirming that we have 2 Complimentary Maximum Access Tickets waiting for us at the KSC Group Sales Office for April 28, 2011. Tickets include:

I applied for these back in November and the Congressman's office has been very good about responding to my emails and answering any of my questions.
Now we just can't wait to get there.

We got email notification today that we have tickets for the day we get off our Disney cruise in May! I am so excited - we had scheduled this once before and then we were not able to make it. Good luck everyone!!

I wrote to the two congressmen in Oregon and neither one was able to come through for me, but thats OK! I know it can be hit or miss! :cool1:

I got the exact same email from our congressman's aid. The only problem was the date for our tickets was one day earlier than our trip but I called NASA and they said that would be no problem...they made a note on our reservation that we would be arriving on the following day. I was so excited that it all worked out!!!!:cool1::cool1:

I live in PA, and in early January, I wrote my congressman (at both his local office and DC office) requesting tickets.

In my letter, I said that these complimentary tickets are available through the congressional liasion at the NASA Office of Legislative Affairs.

I included our names, ages, address, and the date of our trip.

In less than a week, we received a call from an aide that our request was being forwarded to NASA, and within two weeks, we received confirmation of our tickets.

Through reading these boards, I learned that you must be very specific in your request and that you may want to include directions on how they can acquire the tickets for you.

Good luck!

I sent an email to my congressman a few weeks ago, figured they might have ignored the email since i never got a confirmation or response, then today to my great surprise I got an email that said they had sent the info to NASA and they will let me know what they find out!:cool1: I know that does not mean I have tickets, but hey at least they requested them for me, there is a chance we will get them!!! My boys would love going there, and there is a shuttle launch during our stay!:cheer2:

Did you ever hear back regarding your tickets? I am still waiting for a reply to the email which I sent weeks ago... :confused3
