The totally unused 6 day child park hopper can be given to your 6yo nephew as is for usage.
But for a ticket purchased in 2004 or earlier, be sure your vacation needs only 6 days since you cannot add more days to that ticket.
If you need more than 6 days you are better off buying a new ticket for the entire vacation and not using the old 6 day ticket at all.
