This has probably occurred to other people, but it was new to me, so I thought I'd share. It seems after every trip to WDW I come home with a film canister partially filled with Mickey confetti. I have some that ds picked up during parades, some that was sprinkled on our table at Crystal Palace for my b-day, etc.

A while back, I'd read that someone had taken a pretty glass bottle with them on the Disney Cruise and filled it with Castaway Cay sand as a special (free!) souvenir. So that's what I'm going to do with my confetti. I'll have a little jar on my desk filled with sparkly Mickey memories. :D

And to make it even more "budget", I'm using a small glass jar that had a candle in it, so the jar is free and I'm recycling, too! LOL

Neat idea, I don't remember seeing the confetti at the parades, will be on the lookout.

I love the idea with the confetti!

Doing Disney on a budget; I'd love to hear some more freeibe ideas!

Here's another idea for an (almost) freebie - save things like your room key and coasters and glue magnets to the back for some unusual refrigerator magnets. If the coasters are not sturdy enough (some are just paper) you could laminate them first.:)

Thank you Crusoe2 for the magnet idea. You can buy a roll of that magnet tape at any crafts store inexpensively and make magnets...the possibilities are endless!

We have room keys for the last couple of years and I have no idea why I was saving them (other than sentimentality) well now I know ! Thanks!
