Hi

Awhile back someone mentioned that they got a free snowglobe at TDS. I just got a postcard in the mail today that if you spend $40 Nov. 22 - 24 that you get the free snowglobe valued at $30. It looks pretty cute.

Do you have to have the postcard in order to get the snowglobe??
This could work out really well. My local mall is offering a $20 gift certificate for spending $200 in a day. I am going to do a nice chunk of xmas shopping one day to get this added bonus. Hmmm, an extra $20, what would you spend it on? :p Disney dollars???
Thanks for posting!

I don't think you have to have the postcard as I always get them in the mail to let me know the promos they are having ahead of time but in the past when I go to the store they are usually offering it to everybody.

I have a question then for you all... how did you get on their mailing list?? Inquiring minds want to know ;) I'm on the mailing lists at Bath and Body works and Express, but have never seen any for TDS. Thanks for the heads up about the sale!

Thanks for the info about the snowglobe. I'm on my way to the DS soon and will look into this!

I'm gonna be in Buffalo to catch the new flick and now I definately have to go to the DS!

Thanks again!

I got my postcard as well.........are these the tiny ones like we got last year? They were offering those to everyone too even without a postcard.

When you pre-purchase movies on the back of your voucher there is a place to fill out to get on the Disney Store mailing list. We don't have a formal process in the stores in place for guests to join a mailing list other than that. You may want to try disneystore.com.

added: And no, they are not the mini snowglobes. They sell for $30.

We got our card yesterday too. DH started colecting pins at WDW last year and on the cruise. I was thinking of getting him a 'real' Disney lanyard and a couple of pins for his collection from Santa. The snowglobe will be a nice bonus:D .

[Disclaimer: the postcard states "One snowglobe gift per guest" but does NOT say the card is nontransferrable, even in the fine print.]

I won't be using this card, and will mail it to anyone who wants it - but it should probably be someone in Ohio or somewhere close due to the expiration date (Sunday). First poster who wants it, gets it. :)

It says it's a $30 value, so I'm guessing it's in between the mini and regular sizes. It says to present the postcard and that it's exclusively for preferred guests. Card may not be copied and will not be replaced if lost or stolen. I'm guessing they will actually require the card for this promotion. It looks really cute though, I may have to find something to spend $40 on LOL.

Kim - I'm sorry, I just got your email this afternoon. By now, I doubt it would get to you in time, especially since there's no mail on Sunday. :(

Just got back from the Disney Store. I collect all things Disney and figure skating music boxes and snow globes. This was a sprecial present for me.
I just spent $41 on pins to get the $30 snowglobe. They even took the DC discount.

For those of you who didn't get a card, the offer is for the public, no card required.

I just talked to my local DS and was also told this is available to everyone - there is a $50 requirement though unlike the $40 for postcard holders. I don't think I have ever spent less than $50 there anyway LOL.

We went to the DS today, my wife got the snowglobe without a postcard. She didn't even know they were giving them away.
