Going to WDW in 3 weeks, flying in, rented a mini van, was 5 people when the trip was first planned out it quickly grow to 7. Got a problem, all 7 of us will fit in the mini van but not all of our luggage. My SIL called Disney and someone there told her that they offer a complimentary shuttle service from MCO to their resorts . Now, I haven't been following my WDW news lately so I don't know if this is true or not, findng it hard to believe that Disney would give any service away for free. Especially when they told her that they would even put her luggage in her room.:scared1: I mean if it's true we will be sending all our luggage this way.

It is a service that Disney provides called Magical Express. They take you by bus to your resort. You can elect to have them also pick up your luggage so you don't have to and the luggage will make its way separately to your resort. I don't believe that you can just have them take your luggage without taking you. You also need to sign up for this. Check the transportation thread for more info about Magical Express.

They sure do! It is called Disney's Magical Express. It is offered to all guests who are staying on site at a Disney resort. I could go into a long winded explanation, but I'm sure there is plenty of information on the Dis already.:)

It is a bit detailed, so do a search, and you will find all the info you need.

Magical Express. :)

Yes - It is a free shuttle/bus from MCO to your Resort. You will receive luggage tags before you leave. Once you check your bags at your airport, the next time you see them will be in your room. When you get off the plane you just follow the signs or the big white glove - to your resorts line.
BUT - you cannot just send your luggage on the Magical Express. You must go on the bus as well. :)

Thanks for the info. I thought they use to charge for this service.

you used to have to pay for a shuttle.

then disney realized if you were "trapped" onsite, you were more likely to pay their food prices and stay away from harrypotterland and those other parks...so they decided it was a win/win to keep you from looking at rental cars... :)

With the Magical Express and the transportation service (free as well) inside Disney world, you don't need a car at all. :)

November will be our 5th visit in as many years. Never needed a rental! Keep in mind we don't mind being trapped onsite:)
