I'd hate to do valet since we're going to br driving a lot, so is there any free self parking as well?
Thanks!

As a hotel guest, you get free self-parking, if that is your wish.

The free parking lot is at the end of the BCV building--furthest away from the BC entrance. If being close to the parking lot is your preference, be sure to put this request on your reservation. Keep in mind, all requests aren't granted, but they do try their best.

The valet parking is over by the main Beach Club entrance.

I believe in most cases, your walk from your room to your car in the self-park area will be shorter than walking over to the valet pick-up area at the BC.

I agree with Caskbill! More often than not, the self-parking lot is a much closer to the "Courtyard" entrance to most villas than the valet parking station at the main entrance!

So while most people consider self-parking to be an "elite" feature, it's actually more time consuming at the Beach Club. This is simply because the self parking lot is located closer to the vast majority of the villas than the main entrance is!

While I'm usually very generous tipping the staff on vacation, I save money at Beach Club by fending for myself simply because I can usually get in and out much faster on my own two feet! (Broadwalk is a completely different story and I always use valet parking there.)

Best wishes,
Dave

It seems that most self-parking locations are closer and you also dont have to wait for a parking attendant to show up and then get your car. Almost always shorter to park yourself than valet.

Also not sure if you know but the vlaet parking personnel are all vended out to another company. We found out last trip when the valets 1. Broke a rear taillight on the rental car and 2. Spilled something that stained the passenger seat like they had another person in the car. When we reported this, the parking people did not want to fill out any report and when they finally did, they filled it out on a form with another company's name on it (cant remember the name).
Another bit of info was later when I called in the claim form to the number they told me to call into, the person on the other end said no claim had ever been filled. Got to love outsourcing. BTW The rental agency never contacted me in regard to paying for the damage.

The parking for the BCV was a prime motivator for us choosing it over the BWV or the WLV. I love being able to almost step out of my car right into the villas.

I recommend you don't use the Valet parking at BCV. Last year the valet lost the key to my car! I didn't have another one with me so this was a real problem. They also were at a loss as to how to help me- the worst customer service I could imagine. I finally went to the manager of the Beach Club to find out that they were outsourced and not Disney employees. The manager herself drove me and my kids to MK for the Pirate party and offered to pick us up. During this time, I assumed the Valet people were busily looking for my key. Oh, no. They hired a locksmith who made another key for my car (without asking me or notifying me!!!) I was stunned. They never found the original key.

I will never use the valet service again unless they go back to being run by Disney.

Accidents happen, and what you described actually sounded like good service, to me. :confused3
