Free Planet Hollywood and AAA cost?

A few people have mentioned a free meal at Planet Hollywood, when they booked the free dining plan. Can someone explain that to me?

Also, is AAA less expensive if you book this through them? I booked for two of us, Pop Century , with free dining and one day park pass each for $748.00. I don't have AAA at this time, but am willing to get it, if it saves us some money.

Also, when you use your free dining for breakfast, what do you get? If you go to a character breakfast, I assume you would use your table service?
Thanks

The AAA discount and the free dining can't be combined so no need to book through them. The PH cretificate is for one free meal (entree only) , not the whole group, and limited to one cretificate per table. Character Breakfast is 1 TS, counter breakfast you get meal and drink, no dessert or other sides. HTH

But where do you get the PH certificate?
Other's are saying they are getting a slightly more discount with AAA. I guess I'll just call them in the morning and ask.
Thanks.

Tinker Shell: Yep your right. The AAA discount for a package can't be booked on top of the free dining. BUT the discount is only on the room portion. So by booking through AAA, you may get the same rate as Disney but you get all your AAA benefits: Planet Hollywood Voucher (one meal for one person only, limited menu) Planet Hollywood Gift, Diamond Card, Parking Card, Character Storytelling... So in reality, it might be better to book with AAA to get these "freebees" on top of the package for the same price.

We won't be using our PH certificate since we have the dining plan. Hopefully, it doesn't have my name on it, as I plan on finding someone to give it to when we arrive. Does anyone know if your name is on it?

I guess I don't understand. On a couple other threads, people said they still were able to get a small discount (where their AAA booking today, was less than Disney direct). The diamond card means nothing to me, as I find it easier to park and ride the tram. I'm not sure what the parking card is..Does AAA gives you free parking now? I'll have that because I'm staying on site anyway. No kids, so I don't need the storytelling..so I guess if there really isn't a discount, there is no point in changing. The only thing I would have liked was the Planet Hollywood free meal. Thanks

Thanks..we've had the parking card. I guess I thought that was called a diamond card when we had it. I didn't find it useful. we actually ended up walking further because the tram didn't bring you in from that lot. We have AP's so we have the 10% off, and the 15% theme park tours. Guess I'll stick with the ressie's I have. I appreciate your taking the time to answer.

The Diamond Card is where most of your savings can be found. It gives you:
10% off at World of Disney
15% off Theme Park Tours
10% off stuff like golf and parasailing
10% off spa services...
I could go on, the discounts can go on. I'll look for the post that goes into detail about it.

The Parking Card gives you a spot closer to the front of the parks, not free parking. For those that don't drive, it's not a big deal then.

To me, the 10% off at the World of Disney Store is savings enough to book with AAA. If I'm buying stuff at Disney, I'd like to know I'm saving money somewhere.

Hope this helps some more!

No problem! With me being a TA I sometimes I get frustrated when the AAA benefits are forgotten about. I just like to clear up the details to hopefully help out others. I figured you had the AP! It's not worth changing just for the PH meal voucher. It's only for 4-5 meal types during the hours of lunch only, so PH has limits on it anyways. Glad I could help!

PH Meal Vouchers are park of the 2006 packages. I don't think it is unique to AAA. I am a TA (non AAA) and it comes on all my confirmations (and than obviously with final docs)

If you use AAA for a room only discount and, of course, have your AAA membership card, are there any discounts to be had at WDW (other than the room rate)?

Thanks!
