We received a coupon for a free 5X7 photo pass. How does this work? I have never done a "photo pass" so haven't a clue. Where do we pick the picture up? I see there are certain locations we have to get the photo taken. Are some better than others?:confused3

I am really lost on this one:sad2: . Thanks!

Jumping in coz I want to know too. We get a free picture from a meet and greet at the Disney Visa place.
Do you need to have a photo pass card for this free photo?

Serene

When you get your Disney Visa picture taken at Innoventions (between 1:30-4:30 I believe) they will give you a photo pass card at that time.

anyone know how the freebie 5x7 works if you've prepurchased the Photopass CD? Do they print it out while you're on vacation, or is it somehting you order later?

Photopass cards are free. Disney photogs are stationed throughout all of the parks and take tons of pics for all guests. The voucher is for a free print of one 5x7 photo that has been taken by a Disney photographer. The sites listed are where you view and print your pics, NOT where you take them. My dd and I had our pic taken in front of the castle in MK and did a photo where we are looking at our hands and Tink is in our palms. The disney photog. took the photo, gave us our photopass and we brought it to the photo location in Epcot the next day. They load ALL of your photopass pics onto a computer screen and you can then view them and choose which one you want as your free 5x7. You can add a border and graphic for free as well. We added some pixie dust and a magical saying at the bottom. They take your voucher, give you back your photopass and pic and you are on your way. When you get home you can go to the photpass website and view all of your photos again and purchase additional prints, a CD etc.

If you are a Disney Visa cardholder you can get another free 5x7 voucher when you do the meet and greet & then you get 2 free photos from your trip. We did this on our last vacation and it was a great and free souvenier for my dd 6.

First, when you enter any of the parks, there will be photographers all over the place. They wear khaki vests - easy to spot. Just approach them (or they'll approach you) and say you'd like to have your picture taken. If it's your first time, ask for a card. They take your picture and scan your card, and your photos are electronically uploaded and associated with that card number. Keep the card (write the number down in case you lose it) and keep adding pictures throughout your visit. You can have more than one card, too, in case you lose one or your family splits up during the day.

You go to any of the photo shops (look on the park maps for locations) and present your certificate for a free 5x7 photo. They'll scan your card and show you the pictures on a screen and you can pick your favorite. They'll print it for you right there.

FOR THE DISNEY VISA MEET-&-GREET: You must get your picture at the photo center that's under Spaceship Earth. You must get it the same day it's taken, so make sure you allow time between when you have your picture made and when you plan to leave the park so you can stop and get it. Again, you get to pick any of the pictures from your Meet-&-Greet and they print it for you on the spot.

Hope this helps!

From what I understand about the free 5x7 is you have to redemm it at one of the parks or at DTD. All the parks have photopass veiwing in one of the shops, MK is at the place next to Tonys, AK is to the left hand side as you are coming in thru the gates (near stroller rental i think), DHS is in one of the first shops on the left, not sure about EPCOTs, I think it is by Spaceship Earth. MK also has one in the Judges Tent in Toontown. Not sure if the other parks have more than one or not.

Just get your regualar photopass photos taken, then you take the card to the photo viewing place and pick which one for free.

I don't t think you can order the free print online once you get home.

hope you have a great trip!!!!

There's a special character Meet-&-Greet for Disney Visa cardholders, in Innoventions in Epcot. It's near the fire truck (can't remember if that's East or West, but just ask any CM and they can tell you). It's from 1:30-4:30. You present your Disney Visa card and get ushered into a private area with 2-4 characters all to yourself. It's great! They give you a special coupon to redeem for your free 5x7 from the Visa character meet-&-greet. You can do it once per day (even more than once during your stay). Then, you take your coupon to the Photo place under Spaceship Earth to pick out your photo and have it printed.

There are many Photopass locations throughout the park. The photographers are always near the park entrances and other picturesque spots (in front of the Castle, on the bridge in AK where you can see the Tree of Life behind you, in AK with Everest in the background, in front of Tower of Terror, etc). Also, many of the character meet-&-greets in the parks have Photopass photographers there. Trust me, you'll find lots of places to have your picture made! Just be on the lookout for the people in the khaki vests! :goodvibes

Glad to help! Hope you have a wonderful trip! Say hi to Mickey for me and tell him I'll see him in 74 days! :)

It's West :) We were there last Friday and we got Minnie and Goofy. I don't know how often they rotate through characters - last May we had Mickey and Pluto.

Not sure what you're asking here. You can have as many Photopass pictures taken as you want! They encourage you to take a lot of pictures -- they want you to buy the Photopass CD when you get home!

You can do the Disney Visa Meet-&-Greet once per day per Visa card. You could do that every day if you wanted to go to Epcot every day between 1:30 and 4:30.

One picture per day per card number. So, if you and your spouse share a Visa account, you can only get one photo per day. But yes, you could go every day if you wanted. But remember, it's only at Epcot, during certain hours, and you must pick up your picture the same day.

I noticed in your signature that your trip is about 18 months away. You'll want to check closer to your trip to be sure this is still going on. It was supposed to end last Sept, but they've renewed it a couple of times.

im just comparing this year to last year-- seeing whats all the same from year to year-- it also makes the wait doable

So... the magic your way package comes with a free 5x7 photopass voucher, according to the disney website. However, I received my travel documents a couple days ago with planet hollywood vouchers, minigolf voucher, sea raycer voucher, etc. BUT no Photopass voucher. Should I be worried or if this something you get at check-in?

I'm not sure about 2009, but I remember in 2008 that only packages booked online got the free 5x7. If you called to book, you didn't get that perk. Check your package docs and see if the coupon is mentioned. If you booked over the phone and it is not on your package docs, then you didn't get it. If it's on your package docs and you didn't get it, you'll probably get it at check-in.
