Looking forward to to our short little weekend trip in March. And it is an ADULTS ONLY trip!!! YEA! we will be doing Drink Around the World for the first time with another couple and can't stop thinking about it!

I have started collecting all the little items to leave behind in the PIF box.

We are DVC members and decided to pay cash for this short little weekend adventure. Our misson is to stay at each of the Disney resorts at least once, so the "Pop" got our vote this time. Any suggestions on room request?

I requested 60's building, lake view (quieter than pool view) and high floor. I got a ground floor and it wasn't a lake view, but it was a non pool view (room 5150).

I ended up being perfect as we had a double stroller and Mom staying in the next room had an ECV, so ground floor will be the request from now on!

So I have a little exciting news. I am officially going back to WDW in October. I put it in my siggy even though it wasn't 100% but now it is! I got the free dining PIN as my Mom & I are staying at POFQ (and doing the PIF swap over there) and I'm running the Wine & Dine Half Relay!

Just booked for June 12-22nd. It looked like the swap is open for June 13th; is that right? I'd be interested if dealing with the swap is easy. It would probably be easy to meet up with person leaving on the 13th, but is it easy to take this to Luggage if nobody signs up for the 22nd?? (Probably even easier to do the switch on the 21st if that works out.) I guess I just don't want to have to wait around for a half day for someone to swap with (Hope that doesn't sound selfish!)

Hi Chefmb! The swap is available for your dates. The swap is really easy to do and really only takes a few minutes while you are there. You can PM the person ahead of you to see when they are checking out and based upon when you arrive you can either do a face to face swap or the swapper ahead of you will leave it in your name at luggage services. You can just pick it up there.
When you check out, you just label the box with the next swappers names, arrival date and confirmation # then take the box back to luggage services (and get a claim ticket just in case).

Please just PM me with your name, name the resort reservation is in, your resort confirmation #, check in /check out dates, an email address and a contact phone # while at WDW. I will add you to the swap.

You should exchange the same information with the swapper before you (so they can accurately label the box for you) and get the same info from the swapper after you!

We're back, and had a great trip. We were glad to have the PIF box, and used a bunch of items, both practical (laundry detergent) and less so (Buzz Lightyear parachute toy, which took voyages off many building balconies, and even got stuck in the giant computer at one point! But he is rescued and back in the box. I'm surprised security didn't order us to stop throwing stuff off the hotel. ).

I upgraded the box itself, so it's now bigger and sturdier, and I added a whole bunch of stuff, since I seemed to need to bring the contents of my home down with me. Something for everyone!

It was fun being in the swap and feeling like a part of this long chain of Disney fans. Thanks!!

Ugh - I wish I had thought to take a picture before I dropped it off. I'm sorry! It's originally an Amazon box, and some of the Amazon logos are probably still visible. One side has huge yellow Mickey feet stickers on it. Maybe the next swapper can take pix?

Candie, I know what you mean! I thought the swap idea was amazingly cool also, and I had fun redoing the box and leaving extra fun stuff inside. We were bemoaning the fact that the Pop doesn't have fridges, and then *voila* I found a fridge swap. Had no idea such things existed.
