Just be careful about buying digital magazines that are not supported on Kindle. I let my paper subscription of Good Housekeeping expire. Then I got an email saying I could order the digital version for $5/year. It said it could be read on a PC, Mac, iPad or Android device. I assumed Kindle would be covered under Android. When I received the first issue and tried to open it on my Kindle, but it didn't work. After lots of aggravation I figured out Kindle wasn't supported by the app. needed to read the magazine. I can open it through email, but the words are very tiny and can't be stretched in that mode. The only way to read it will be on my PC. It's not a huge disaster. It only cost $5 for 12 issues. It's just annoying that I can't download it and read it on my Kindle.
Have you been able to download a Zinio app on your Kindle? That's that app I need to read my Good Housekeeping subscription. It keeps telling me my device (Kindle) is not supported. I looked through their list of supported Android devices and Kindle is not listed.
I went to my local library's website where I found step by step instructions on how to get the the zinio magazines. There was also a small video tutorial about it. I have zinio for the Ipad, I am not sure if the kindle is supported or not.
I just checked out my library's website and it says:
Zinio magazines may be read on a wide variety of apps available for many mobile devices including PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire and Blackberry Playbook. It is currently not available on the Nook.
