Free Magical Express Ending?!!!!????

I heard a scary rumor, that Magical Express will no longer be free sometime in 2008. Has anyone else heard this? I actually heard it from a VERY reliable source. I sure hope its not true! Free Magical Express rocks!!!

I haven't heard they were going to do it for sure , but I had heard that is was a possibility . It would not surprise me, especially with gas prices going way up again . With it becoming as popular as it is they probably need to offset the costs. How much did you hear it would be per person? I would be curious to know .

We have lots (and LOTS) of very connected, very knowledgeable posters on the Transportation Board. There is speculation that DME won't be free forever, but no indications that it will be this soon.

Definitely something to keep an eye on, but I don't think we need to worry about it yet.

We'd probably still continue to use it, even if it did cost. The perk of not having to schlep my luggage all over MCO is a HUGE one for me.

I totally agree. anybody who will take care of my luggage is a blessing...If I have to pay ...so be it. Have to get there somehow. I've used it 4 times now..and will use it again in Aug. For me ..I've already gotten a big Disney freebee. .. so if I have to pay later...oh well

I would be surprised if this perk went away. Think about it, ME makes it very easy not to rent a car. That means you spend your entire vacation on Disney property. Everyday, every meal, every dollar is on Disney Property!!! This is one the smartest business moves I have ever seen!!!

While at Disney and viewing the DVC information there was some fine print that said Disney's Magical Express complementary during the year of the magical dreams. Which makes us think it will no longer be complementary in 2008

If you do a seach you may find the answer. I thought it was free until 2010 or something like that.
