Free Dining.. would this work?

If I got two rooms at Pop Century could I upgrade just one of the rooms to the regular dining plan and leave the other one table service. Then use the TS meals from the one room for the whole family? Is that allowed?? Not sure if I am explaining this correctly. I only want to do 3 table service meals and it would work out perfectly this way.

If you have 3 people in one room with regular dining and 2 people in the other with quick service, you could only get 3 table service meals at one seating.

I can't even begin to tell you how many times we have used more meal credits at one sitting than we had members of our party. We have never been told that it could not or should not be done by a CM or waiter/waitress.

We have lots of family in Florida. We are not big eaters and my wife and I share almost every meal. So when family meets us at WDW, we use our dining credits to cover their meals. Never an issue.
