Free Dining Reservation but checking in late

I have been told by CM and Customer Relations that Disney will cancel your reservation if you dont check in on the day you were booked. Anyone ever have this happen? Or know someone it happened to. My flights are Nov 30th and free dinning ends Nov 29th.:confused3:cool1:

What time does your flight land? If you do not check in during the overnight hours they WILL cancel your reservation. You cannot check in after 6am on the 30th and get free dining.

Doesn't sound possible for the PP who said "my flights are on the 30th".

I'm just going to give a big "be careful" to anyone thinking of adding an extra day at the beginning of a trip to "catch" free dining. Everything I've ever read said someone has to physically check in on that day. That's not to say they won't hold your room if your flight runs late or whatnot......... but I'd expect them to more vigilant about this during a free dining promotion.

You are right. It is easy enough to check and see if you really were on a plane that was delayed, or if you are lying to get a discount you are not entitled to.

The the poster who is flying in the day after Free Dining is offered: No. They won't let you have it because you are not within the dates Free Dining is offered. You have to check in on that date. Now as the computers don't roll over until 7am, you would have a shot if you could get to your resort before then.

I think if I knew I had to be there by 7am, I would make darn sure I was there way before 7am. Not only an hour before. Too much money is at stake to mess around.

As long as you notify them of your late arrival, you will have absolutely no problem checking in that late. This is precisely why the DME buses run 24 hours.:thumbsup2

...is this new? They didn't previously.....:confused3

The buses have been running 24 hours for as long as I can remember, but they will not collect your luggage for you late at night. If you land at 10pm or later, you have to get your bags and the driver will store them under the bus for you.
