Going to stay at BC this year, 2 adults, 3 kids (3,2 and 1), the difference between free dinning and taking the 40% discount is about $650 for the week. The 40% is less.

I guess I am trying to debate is $92 a day a better deal than us just buying are own food.

This is just the basic one, 1 quick service, 1 snack and 1 table service.

I also have to buy a plate for the 2 year old since he is under 3, not worried about the 1 year old!

Any thoughts from people that have done this.

For me, the 40% off at the Poly was not as good as a deal as the FD because I have 3 adults and 2 teenagers who count as disney adults. It depends on your situation and what resort you are staying at. Also, it depends on if you are a TS family or a QS family. With the ages of your children, I think you would be better off using the 40% off and paying OOP for food.

You really have little ones so the "plan" may not be worth it for you. For us, we buy or get the dine trip each visit. I do not want to do anything that remotely feels like home, that means eating in a room and not being served :rotfl2: Its just easier for us to get dining, make adrs' (which you should do regardless of whether you take the plan or not) and enjoy the yummy meals!
Whatever you choose have a great vacation!

This is our first year getting FD and it's going to be totally worth it for us. Even if we just did QS, our OOP is more than the % off deal but we have 2 adults, 1 junior, and 1 kid. And like the previous poster, I'm looking very forward to not having to cook or clean up and being served. I love to cook, dearly love it but it's nice to not have to worry for a week.

It is way better deal if staying in a moderate or value. If we stayed at AKL the 40% would be a better deal by around 200.00.

We are staying at POR with free dining total cost is 2350.00. The same pakcage using the room only discount adding the dining 2750.00. Like othes have said free dining works for us and I don't cook any meal on vacation including pop tarts. LOL

The more "adult" eaters you have the more you get out of the meal plan, free or not. If you take the 40% off you aren't saying you have to cook, you are just saying you will pay for meals. Your kids are so little feeding them isn't much money, my kids are all "adults" and we took two extra big kids with us last time, so we are in a very different situation.
If I were you, I would take the deluxe resort stay, and go when it is not so hot and hurricane season:thumbsup2
