Since hubby hates calling... you should have him get you a second card. This will no doubt come up again.

This is so exciting that free dining is gonna a be a reality in just a few short days. I am thinking about adding a day to our ressies, just for the heck of it!

No, because your ADRs are tied to the phone number you give Disney Dining and not your reservation. They may ask you what resort you're staying at when you make them, but that doesn't matter. If you ask the CM when you check in at your resort, they can print a list of your ADRs by your phone number.

Here is the deal, we have 4 one day passes from last years Free Dining (we had two 10 day ressies) and want to book in for Free Dining again this year for 24 days total (2 ressies)

We are planning on getting AP's as we are going back in December 2007, F&G 2008 and then again for another stab at Free Dining (if they offer it) 2008.

I am trying to think of a way so that I do not end up with a bigger stack of one day tickets than I already have. I am allergic to the idea of it costing me $60-70 a day to do the parks.

Do I get an AP with one package and then another one day ticket with the second package this year OR is there anyway I can apply any of the tickets I already have toward anything?

I figure not but one never knows and if ANYONE does it will be a fellow DISer.

You can certainly apply a one day ticket toward an AP..Ask them at Guest services to separate it from your room key and upgrade it. I did it last year with no problem. Unfortunately you cannot turn over multiples toward one upgrade.

Ariel answered correctly. Tickets can be upgraded one a one for one basis.

You cannot use multiple tickets combined to make 1 new ticket.

Hi all!

I understand that I can only use one ticket to upgrade to another ticket BUT what I was wondering is if I am missing out on some way to not end up with quite as many one day tickets.

Should I get our AP's with one ressie and just a one day ticket(s) with the next one or should I turn in a couple of the one day tickets from the last trip toward our AP's this time?

Either way I figure I will end up with a lot of one day tickets but by buying the AP's with one ressie this time I might avoid having to go through the upgrading procedure on this trip.

Every once in awhile someone on here comes up with a thought that I had not previously considered. I would have NEVER thought of booking Free Dining with a one day ticket and staying away from the parks! Might work for some but not for me.

Does anyone remember last year when free dining was offered was there a limit to the number of rooms/reservations you could make with free dining? I am looking to make three separate reservations; one for my family, one for myself going solo the week before, and one for my brother and his family. I am using my Disney Visa card for the reservations.

I don't remember any limits. I'm sure they'd be delighted to take your money as many times as you'd like to go!

I booked my package(room,tickets and dining) through AAA for 9/26-10/5/07.
What should I do on Monday? Call ta and have her cancel our reggie and then rebooked it within the one month time frame for free dining. Can I book 9/22-10/01/07 and still get the free dining? Since I'm a Disney Visa cardholder all I need to do is booked my trip using Disney Visa with code ZHQ to get the free dining even though it's through AAA? This is confusing!

I emailed my ta yesterday. For the record I told her that the free dining offer will be made available to Disney Visa card holders on Monday. Here's the response I got,

I just got off the phone with Disney they don't know anything about a free dining offer or that code. We here at AAA have not gotten anything. The rep at Disney suggest I wait till Monday to call back and see what I can find out.

Take a deep breath and realize that there will be plenty of selection to choose from if you can be even a little bit flexible with your resort choice... Last year it didn't sell out in 6 weeks and the booking window was extended.

I think it's safe to say it won't sell out in the first two or three days this year. Check with your TA on Monday to see if she knows any more.

I'm not worried about selection nor am I trying to drive my ta crazy. I just want to be clear on what I need to do since I already booked my trip. It's confusing. When I email my ta she was clueless about the free dining which doesn't help matters.

So if we *do* go ahead and do the free dining, since it's at the height of hurricane season, I'm thinking maybe we should get travel insurance. I've never gotten it before...how much would it cost? Any links or ideas?
