Free dining question...

Hey everyone, does anyone know yet if a black out day is at the end of your trip if it is covered because you are already there?

Do you know what I mean?

Like if your vacation lasts thru Feb 5, FD is up until the 3rd, will they let you have FD for the last 2 days?

My friend had this situation for a trip she booked in DEC...she was able to have free dining for all of her days (even those in the black out period) because she arrived during the free dining offer.

fyi...the first cm she booked with didn't give her the free dining all nights. i told her to call back, and the next cm booked it with no problem.

In the past it has been length of stay so if like before you should be good for your entire trip!

What about checking in on 3/3/11, the last day before the blackout dates start on 3/04/11... do you think my entire week would get covered??? We are staying 3/03/11 - 3/09/11

Next question?? We haven't decided where we are staying. We are thinking about staying at Shades of Green but this may change. Can we book one night at a moderate and get free dining for our entire trip? I thought I read somewhere that you could do that??

I don't think so. I am pretty sure you only have dining during your disney resort stay.

Yes, I know it is not an available resort but I was talking about if we made a 1 night reservation at a Disney hotel with 7 day park hoppers, could we get free dinning for the entire 7 days?? I am just trying to weigh all of my options!!

Unfortunately no. The dining credits are based on nights stay at the resort, not the park tickets.


Thank everyone, you have eased my mind. I know it was like that on other previous FD offers, and was hoping they hadn't changed it.

Thought I would update for everyone.

We are booked at POP from Jan 30 to Feb 5 and yes we got the free dining the entire stay. "Roland" (such a sweet CM) said that since we arrive during FD that we are grandfathered in.

YAY!!! Let us do the HAPPY DANCE!!

I cannot wait to go back to the World. So excited.

In August FD for 2011 starts the 19th, if you get there before the 19th would you still get it, if you stay past the 19th?

This is making me nuts, I'm a teacher and of course all the times we are in school are blacked out!!!!

What do you think the odds are for an earlier FD, or room discount coming out in April like it usually does????

The short answer is no it would not be included in free dining. Your arrival has to fall within the specified dates. However, you can make 2 seperate reservations and the latter one will include the free dining, if that is at all an option for you... HTH
