Free Dining Plan...what is that about?

Hello fellow posters,

I am new to this site and keep seeing things like, "with free dining plan". How do you get the dining plan for free? Sign me up, please!!

Free Dining is a promotion that Disney had going in order to get people to the World during a typically "slow" time - hurricane season. The dates for free dining were for trips mid-august through september 22. Unfortunately the deadline for booking those trips was June 26

The free dining plan had to be booked (i think) in may-june, and your vacation has to be for the end of aug-sept. It is not being offered anymore as far as i know. you can purchase the dining plan with your vacation package.
