Free Dining pkg., AP and DVC-Any tricks?

I would love to take advantage of the Free Dining package! Does anyone know the best way to take advantage of the Free Dining offer if you have an AP. I haven't seen AP room discounts for this fall should I wait and book when they come out and add the dining? I am a DVC member too, but don't mind banking my points for a future trip and staying in a moderate resort in order to get the free dining.

The only way to get free dining is to book at least a 3 night package and buy 2 day tickets. You can save the tickets. They will not expire until after the first time they are used.

You can't add dining to a room only reservation. It would have to be cancelled and rebooked as a package. You could book a room/dining package as an AP holder, then apply the free dining. When you do that, you will have to purchase at least 2 day tickets and you would lose the AP room discount.

You cannot combine discounts, so you cannot get an AP room discount on top of free dining.

The free dining offer is already out for the remainder of this year. If you want it you should check on the dates and availability. There are longer blackout periods this year, and you must check in on a promotion date to get the free dining.
