Free dining pin but no availability?

I know I had a couple pins a few weeks ago but deleted them. Now we are thinking to price out a wew trip from 8/17-8/23. So I called today.

I was told I have a room only and a free qsdp. Tried the qsdp, with any resort with room for 5. Nada. Every resort he tried, he couldn't get me a room. He said it all must be sold out. Anyone think that's true, or do you think my pins dates didn't go to August?

So I booked room only at por. Had to get river view, though...all that was left.

Where is the next cheapest place with room for 5? Asmu suites and aoa didn't work either.

The CM should have been able to tell you the dates the FD code was valid for. Also, if you have had the pins sitting on your account for awhile, it could also be that they used up all of the rooms for the free dining pin. They only open a certain # of rooms per discount, so while a hotel may have plenty of availability, it can still sell out for a discount.

Try booking 2 connecting rooms at one of the value resort. That's the next cheapest option, only $15.00 more per night than 1 room at POR and it gives you more room and another bathroom. We are a family of 7 and we've booked connecting rooms about 15 times without issue.

I know that most of the free dining pins everyone is getting are only good through June 30th. There have been CMs that couldn't tell me how long pins are good for- they would just try different dates.
