Which deal did you book? I had a 4/3 package booked but had to cancel and thank you Mickey :worship:the FD came out because I still got a good deal with FD. I am curious to see how many people took which deal?

We booked under the 4/3 deal. We always go on our vacation in June for at least a week so it really fit our plans. The 4/3 deal saves us a lot more since we're staying at the GF and we are just two adults.

We booked the 4/3 deal at AKL Savannah View. It is slightly cheaper than the free dining due to staying at AKL.

In addition, we cannot wait until August to go.

About 60 more days!

4/3 is a better deal for just two of us, so I did that one this year.

I can do the 4/3, and pay for the dining plan, get two extra days, and it is still less than what I paid for 5 days last year with free dining.

We're in the same boat as you - had 4/3 booked for May, found out we really couldn't be away for our original dates, and rebooked for free dining in the fall. With 4 adults in our group, free dining is a slightly better deal.

I'm actually using three different deals.:rotfl: I'm using the buy four/get three nights free deal for my May trip. I'm using free dining bounceback for my Sept/Oct trip. Then I'm using a 40% off PIN code for my Dec trip.:rotfl::rotfl:

You don't have an option for "neither"! :) I used a 40% pin, which for a CL room when you have APs couldn't be beat!

1st booked the 4/3, then turned it into a 5/3, then things got goofy at work and had to switch it to the FD, which was a better deal as it saved us about $1100!!!!

Well color me jealous! I've got a short Dec trip booked with the 40% off, but DH is already making comments about the two trips being too close together now that our Flower & Garden trip has turned into Food & Wine instead. :confused3

My opininon is that FD is the better deal with a Value and the 4/7 is a better deal for deluxe. The moderates are a toss up. I guess it depends on the time of year and rack rate for them. Also, it depends if you will purchase the dining anyway. With 4 in a room the FD also may be the better deal especially if adult ages.

We booked the 4/3 deal at AKL for the first week of June. 2 adults, 1 child, regular DP and 8 day MYW w/hoppers and water park and more. Just today I checked the price of the package during free dining for the week of Aug 18-25. The 4/3 deal is cheaper than free dining. Made me feel better because school starts here 8/19 and we can't go during FD anyway.

I agree that FD is a better deal when you stay at the values. The 4/3 is better at a Deluxe and the Moderates are about a break even.

37 days to AKL and Mickey, woo-hoo:banana::banana:

4/3 worked for us. We are staying in the cabins and I wanted to try to save as much as possible by using the kitchen. I didn't want the dining plan, so this is real savings for us. The Dining plan, I would have been shelling out another $1000 or more for my family of 6 for the resort. This way, I still have that $1000 in my pocket and have a kitchen to use in a location that is easy to get back and forth to. We will still be eating some dinners out, but will order what we can actually eat (we aren't big dessert people or big eaters) and still come out less money. I will just keep icecream back at the cabin for the kids when we get back.

Also, the dates are wayyyyy bewtter for us. SO i was getting the saving and going when I really wanted to. Hopefully the crowds won't be quite as bad, and the ADRS seemed easy to get.

We booked both as they are both good deals.

The thing with the 4/3 is the more you spend the more you save. Ie a Deluxe will save you more than a value but you do have to spend more.

I guess it's relative to what you were planning to do in the first place. In my case, I usually stay at a DVC resort when traveling during hurricane season (August or September). So for me, the 4/3 for 10 nights worked out to about a 30% discount on the room (plus a one day ticket to use toward my AP renewal). Since it's a solo trip, paying rack and getting food free seldom works out to be a better deal for me. I checked the bounceback when I was there last week, since it was 40% off instead of 30%, but the dates I have booked (8/4-8/14) weren't included and I really want to stay at BLT when they first open. So I'm satisfied with what I have.
