Free dining offer on wdw website! Just can't book

Hey guys! I was just on wdw website, and ya know where the offers scroll... Like the main page..

Well the 1st one had my trip, and how many days until, the 2nd was the summer offer with a kid and a towel, and the third was a kid eating Mickey bar, with a header saying enjoy a treat...and best of all its free! Maybe not exact wording but free was there. So I clicked on it it says free dining, for 08/26-09/15?? And could book until 09/15??? But when I tried to act like I was booking it says system unavailable ?

My ASSUMPTION is their dates have got to be wrong
Just wanted to pass along, I hope it does work out cause I would love me some free dining in October

They might have been working on the site. They do that around this time most nights. The 3rd picture is now a picture advertising star wars weekends. They might have been testing it out to see how it will look when and if they go live with that offer or a similar offer.


And after going back and looking at the star wars picture they have one of them eating a mickey bar. It is leading me to believe that they used the image from that free dining offer op mentioned to overlay the mickey bar on to the star wars picture.

I'm not disagreeing with you I just think they were probably working on the site. You said the picture had a kid eating a mickey bar which is why I mentioned perhaps they were using that image while working on the star wars picture.

Hopefully it is in prep. for another free dining offer that I know a lot of people are waiting for though.

I was on the site a while ago and it wouldn't let me search for resorts - said system maintenance, and when I was checking something with our current reservation a thing popped up saying I would be logged out in 15 minutes as they were doing site maintenance... so try again in the a.m.!

I never meant you were disagreeing with me, I just wanted to confirm you were indeed right now, and while I was playing even more(cause I am basically a gluten for punishment) I looked at the Canadian website English version and the kid eating the bar is on there, but you can't book on It either

Anyway here is hoping and some pixie dust!

I see what you mean about the Canada site. Perhaps free dining is just now going to be offered there. I know for the US the offer just ended last friday so perhaps they still have rooms left to fill and so now they are offering it to Canadians. Or did they already have a similar offer? I know the UK has an offer for 2013 already up.


Hopefully it won't be much longer before something is offered past Sept. though.

It was only up for a brief period of time and never went live to actually book it. They are working on the site so it could have been up for a number of reasons. We just have to wait and see.

I am Canadian and when I go to view their "Special Offers" page, there is a photo of the child eating the Mickey ice cream with a Free Dinning Plan offer with dates until Sept.15th. I've priced out many resorts using the offer. I talked to a CM last night and was told that this Free Dinning offer extension is only available for Canadians.

Those are the dates, FD is a available to we Canadians.
I know because I had to adjust my dates back a week, to qualify.

Waiting patiently to see what the Fall deals are before we book.

I don't think the FD fall deal will come out until AFTER the ticket increase on Sunday. I got an email from Mousesavers saying that ticket prices are going up this Sunday. I think the FD deal for the fall will come soon after!
