Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

:surfweb: All of this anticipation is driving me nuts. We all DESERVE a great vacation after all of this!

To all that want POFQ, but would be willing to change out of POFQ if it is not included in the FD offer. Is POR your #1 backup? We just can't decide what our #2 pick would be (POR or CBR). We have liked POR the times we have walked over there and i am sure we would love it there, the reason we like CBR is the pool, but we don't know how much time we will spend at the pool so don't know if we should factor that in or not. I like how close POR is to POFQ. Is POR as relaxed as FQ? That is one of the biggest reasons we love POFQ, Size, Quietness and our daughter love to get the coins and beads form the greater!!! Does POR have a Greater? We don't know what to do ( I feel like POR is the better choice as it is closer to the theaming of FQ) When i was a kid we always stayed at CBR so that was why My wife and i started staying at POFQ so it would be something new for both of us. Sorry for running on.... just looking for your thoughts on where you will be looking to stay and why if you get/want Free Dinning and you can't stay at POFQ. Thanks

I had POFQ any room category as my Plan A. Next I'm moving to POR but I've got to study the room categories because I don't want to be too far away from everything ~ preferred rooms are showing as not available for our stay. Coronado Springs would be plan C mainly because we want queen beds but I'm really nervous about how big that resort is and this is our first on-site stay. Interested in others opinions too......

I just called to check on a pin. CM was super nice! :thumbsup2 We still have no pins :sad1:, but I told CM no worries I knew fall specials would come out soon enough. The CM oh yes, they have started releasing. I will take this as good sign.

Can you PLEASE send me the link that shows the room categories and where they are for POR and POFQ, I can't seem to find them.
Thank you.

So I'm new at this FD stuff. Do they really fill up that fast? I currently have a ressie for AKL for Oct...should I really be calling at 7am? I mean I understand the whole "be the first and there is no worries" mentality...I'm usually up at 1am on Black Friday in line somewhere...but do the FD deals really fill up that fast?

Oct is only crazier because there is F&W Festival as well as MNNSHP at MK that month and the most popular rooms fill early as those are busy days.

(September is low season with few special events so there is way less demand).

If you want anything in the Epcot area, French Quarter or Nemo Suites at AoA, those will probably go fast.

AoA is still pretty popular and new and POR is popular with those who don't get POFQ, and standard views in the MK area are desirable, so they will go quick but not quite as fast.

Values are going to fill somewhat with those who want to attend events but not spend a fortune, I think it's POP, MOvies, Music, and Sports in order of popularity.

I think the remaining Mods, Deluxe (non standard rooms), and Campgrounds are slower and easier to get days later.

I am going to call early because I want POR or POFQ. If you are not picky about where you stay then I think you have a little more sleep in time available.

For the room discounts at this point his site says:

"Excluded are the mermaid rooms at Art of Animation and"

And what? A mushroom cloud? A bearded lady? What?

Note that my my post for roon discounts said mermaid rooms, campsites, and three bedroom villas.

Thank you for looking into this...and keeping your sense of humor!

Does the blogosphere have photos of Dave and I playing golf with satan? Are they intentionally trying to make us a couple of balding alcoholics?

I think sometimes they post something just to post something and have little sourced information to back it up. I'm seeing so many changes at this point I can't keep up.

Assuming all happens as leaked on Thursday...just call and ask for your resort of choice...it will either be available or it won't. Have a backup or two as always and go from there.

Pardon me...I believe it's my turn to tee off.

Had our trip all figured out and now need to go back to the drawing board and re-look at everything.

My parents called and said they want to come with us. We already have Poly reserved for our family of 5 and were hoping to get a RO discount, but now wondering if we should split stay at AOA for the first couple days to save some money. Parents are arriving Oct 2nd (although we don't arrive until the 4th), so now FD is a possibility, at least for them. They are self sufficient, prefer CS over TS (unlike our family), but staying at the same resort would be ideal.

Question... anyone who has done a split stay.... was it a giant hassle, or pleasantly manageable?

POFQ was my first choice. I love the small resort, close to everything, really not a bad view even at the standard level, the food court is tasty and I love the boat to DTD.

However when looking at back up plans my mom really flipped for the Royal Rooms at POR. I have been thinking of a stay there and I think it will be more available. Still has a boat to DTD, still has a style of themeing that I like, the lack of benigets is not great as my mom loves the NOLA ones but we'll wonder over to get some at FQ, but most of all my Deluxe loving mama liked it. I am worried about the distance but getting a Royal Room will help the worry of a long hike.

We are not pool people but I believe the slide is a little more thrilling than the Dragon at POFQ, so if she loves the pool that might win her over.

See POR is my ONLY resort of choice, I'm willing to change room category but that's it! Fingers crossed POR is included in SOMETHING!!!

Sorry...newbie here again :wave2: Where could I find the RO discount info for the Fall? I am staying at a deluxe and want to see if FD would be more beneficial vs a RO...but not sure what RO discount would be! Sorry for asking if this has alreayd been covered! :confused3

What kind of changes? Just in the resorts that will be offered? Do you think there is much of a chance of it not happening at this point?

Question... anyone who has done a split stay.... was it a giant hassle, or pleasantly manageable?

Definitely manageable. Pleasantly is going a little far in my opinion though. LOL

:lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:
Nice American President quote there. :thumbsup2

Thanks again for all you do.

OK here's my plans right now. Subject to change once the planning and finance committees see it (DW).
A)AoA Cars, Lion King (1A), Nemo (1B)
B) Wilderness Cabins
C) POP
D) Coronodo Springs

It makes it tougher for us because we have six people and can't afford a villa.

Twister: whats behind the brush?? A brick wall? A bearded lady ? What?

So much POFQ love here....I am a POLY man myself. Think there will be availability there?
