Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

Question. I didn't think my ADRs would be affected but saw a comment on another thread that they wouldn't UNLESS you made them with your 180 plus 10 option. I have CRT prior to MK opening and don't want to lose it. I will be rebooking my trip for free dining (or attempting to) but my dates will remain the same so I should be good right?

ADRs are not linked to your reservation. I've already changed my original reservation dates and the ADRs were not affected. I even have some for the 2 days before we arrive just in case we get FD and are able to go earlier.

ETA: all of my ADRs were based on 180+10 on the first reservation I made. I changed the dates later and nothing was affected

We don't have our vacation booked yet since we are waiting for the FD to come out. Am I better off booking the vacation online & then calling tomorrow to add the free dining or should I just book everything tomorrow? Crossing my fingers that the rumor is true! Has a CM confirmed anything?

I would just book tomorrow.

Yes you can. I booked my kids on mine last year and we were at different resorts. I was at Poly they were at POFQ. I was prepared to go to POFQ when they checked in if I needed to but it wasn't necessary.

Looking for an opinion here...I know the rooms they had for the pin for these dates sold out at certain resorts (like POR preferred). So, we assume they will add more of those for this discount, correct? And, will there be a certain number allotted for tomorrow for DV holders and then more added Thursday for the general public? Or will DV just get first dibs on everything left and the general public gets their leftovers?

I have a res for check in on November 2nd. Last day of this post BUT I have seen a couple of posts that say that the free dining will stop on Oct 31, and not be available until the 11th of Nov.

HOPING for the 2nd!!!

Any advise would be great.

I am going to be one of the crazies frantically trying to get FD tomorrow and I was wondering, once I have my reservations complete can I then transfer them to AAA to receive there special benefits or will that affect my FD discount?

Yes, you can! There is a form that you get from AAA to fill out and send back. My AAA TA said it takes about 7 days to do the switch!

We are currently booked to stay at the WL during the time FD will be going on. Our ressies are book with a military discount. My question is since we will be purchasing our tickets to the parks through disney and not using military tickets can we still get FD since we meet the length and the purchase of tickets? Thanks for any help!

Free dining not only requires a minimum ticket purchase, but it also requires you to pay full price for your resort. You would have to drop your military discount in order to get FD. Run the numbers for your party and see which works out to be cheaper.

I agree. Booking now isn't going to hold one of the free dining rooms for you.

I just realized with time difference I have to call at 3 am my time if I want to call when they open tomorrow. Which I have to do if I want to make sure I am done before work. Oooh the things we do for Disney

I remember the good old days when free dining was open to Pop. 9 nights of free dining staying at Pop was AWESOME.
