Not bad a tall, We are a family of 3 and we are well over $3000 now. Let's see, $2450ish for Disney for 7 nights, $600 for airfare, $320 for towncar to and from Bradley International Airport, $150 for pirates and pals, gunna be another $80+ for Wishes Desert Party, $149 for photopass+. Am I forgetting anything? Like I said (MGM: Mighty Greedy Mouse)

Oh I forgot almost $200 for MNSSHP because I just had to go on the most expensive night (October 31st)

That's pretty good, I can't seem to find return flight for less than 165 one way. Got my flights going down for 122. I know Sunday flights can be more expensive but of all the Sundays in November, the 17th seems to be the most expensive. Still waiting it out a bit longer.

I actually changed my vacation dates because Sunday's cost more to fly. I was going for 10-27 to 11-03 and now we are going 10-28 to 11-04

I got lucky and stalked Southwest everyday. Landed tickets from CT for 200 round trip per person, same as I paid last year in March!

not much of a selection where I live. Sometimes I can get lucky for about $200 or less round trip per person with AllegiantAir, but when you add bags and extras its not quite the bargain you first thought. Then towncar since they don't stop at MCO so we figured all things considered, we would save over $500 by driving. So its a roadtrip this year.

That's great! I just checked the website for our dates to see if things changed, but it's still about $300 roundtrip.
Also, I noticed your other post about the town car rental fee. I am not familiar with your airport at all, so I don't know if this is an option for you, but thought I'd mention it in case....We rent a hotel room at PHL the evening before our flight leaves, and that includes parking during our vacation and free shuttle to/from airport. It's about $150 for a Wyndham room with parking and shuttle. We like to do this the night before we leave so we don't have to worry about traffic or accidents on the way to catch our flight...We're about an hour from PHL...and would have to take 95 or 76 to get to Philly....often have backups...

I'm a west coaster (Mukilteo) going to the world for 2nd time with the family. We,ve been to the land many times!

Another West Coaster (Vancouver Canada) here going to the "World". DW and my 2nd time. Taking my elderly parents for their first time "World" visit Nov 2-11 !! Can't wait :)

Yeah paying for bags is such a rip off. I am so glad southwest gives each passenger 2 bags for free plus a carryon and a small book bag or pocket book.

Flights for me are at $350 now so I'm waiting to buy. Hope that works out for me! The lowest I've seen for my dates is $330 so still not great. Last year got them for $258!

That's a good idea but there really aren't any hotels near the airport and I don't mind the price for the town car. I can actually get one cheaper but we love the company we use and I love not having to worry about driving early in the morning (our flight leave around 8:30am) or having to drive home after the flight home.

Also while stalking Southwest (an I mean checking flights like 5 times a day) I wound up finding the best price on a Thursday afternoon even though most sites say Tuesday afternoons are the cheapest times to book. And the flights went up only a few hours after I booked, so you really have to stalk them. I also read though that flights are cheapest about 6 weeks before your departure date. But I jump on the tickets as early as I did because 200 roundtrip was my target and I doubt I'll see them cheaper.

I love flying but some of my best memories as a child are from roadtrips, so I just try to go by the motto that either way it beats being at work.

OMG!!!! That's a killer! Did that ruin you from ever driving again?

My bad, I meant 36 roundtrip. But still, I don't ever plan on driving. And since we didn't do it straight through it was about a day and a half from when we left so it was still torture being a kid and just wanting to get to Disney already. I will take a 2 1/2 hour flight over that anyday

Dude I'd kill for a 10 hour drive. LOL

I live 20 and half hours away....There will be no driving to the world.

Furthest I've driven is a toss up between Miami and Dallas. Those were just over 20 hours each way.
