I just wanted to pop back in and say no luck getting through yesterday but our travel agent was able to get through today and got us free dining at POR! We did have to switch from a Riverview room to standard but I'm okay with that

ok. Apparently I need to stop helping people. DH's cousins are going to disney at the same time and staying in a cabin 4 nights. I told them about FD and they didn't even call yesterday to have it added to their reservation. They kept seeing the "6 night, 7 days" offer online and didn't think they would qualify. I even told them I was able to get it by going online and checking the dates myself. They didn't even try online.

Their dates are gone now. Hopefully something will come up for them later.

Why does it bother me? I just wanted to help

So totally off topic here (but on the topic of rumors)....I notice a few of you live in Ohio. Are there any Kings Island fans on here? They plan to announce a new "record breaking ride" on August 8 (*cough cough* coaster).

Any thoughts? Smitch? Dave?

We had already booked December 19-26 at Pop through AAA. Because we are checking in during the window we were able to get the free QS for the entire stay for an additional $5 per-person.

I know this is a little off topic, but since people are discussing the advantages of each resort, which of the Pop rooms/buildings have the best view of fireworks? I tried asking on the Pop board, but didn't get a response. Thanks so much!!
This board has been a life saver for me while trying to schedule our first Disney World trip!

We had a view of the firworks last year. We were in the 50's building, 3rd floor facing the lake. You can't see them all, but we had a great view of the high ones, really great way to end the night

Anyone have an update on wait times? I called this morning, was on hold for 45 minutes and then disconnected I really can't call back to modify my ressie until wait times are a little shorter. I have a 9 month old crawler that's in to everything!!

I just called - got through in less that 3 minutes.

Had the NICEST CM -he wasn't able to find FD for us (boo) but did want to tell me about this "exciting new component Disney just released, called the photopass + system, where we can purchase our very own exclusive paparazzi"

That's a good point, or a spouse. I think my husband was actually disappointed when we couldn't get the Pirate Room. Of course, he didn't realize there were no king beds and he would have to sleep by himself. He's so cute.

Has anyone that booked yesterday morning not received a confirmation email or updated MDE? It has been 24hr. I had planned to call this morning but my phone just took a fall and the screen is shattered! ahhh

I booked online and received an email after a few minutes however I called in later to change the dates on my previously booked package and I still haven't received an email confirmation. It seems like it might be because of so many people making changes yesterday. If I don't receive one tonight I may call tomorrow but since the changes showed up on MDE I not too concerned.

Do you think it's unreasonable to email my TA again today? I emailed her Wednesday night about the fd and then yesterday morning telling her that I had heard it's crazy and to try Por if not, try Poly.

Like I have posted on here , I haven't heard from her since Wednesday Morning. I don't want to be a pest..but I have no idea if she got me a reservation...or if I should be trying to do it myself....or what the heck to do.

I know she is probably crazy busy...Do you think its ok to shoot her an email asking how its going...or should I just wait and see if I hear from her sometime today?

Not at all. I would send her another email and maybe try calling her as well. Even if she's busy that seems like a long time not to stay in touch. Good luck!

I personally say do what it takes to get the vacation you want...maybe I'm in the minority though. I didn't go though the mess yesterday because when my DH called months ago...he basically demanded we be given FD...and we were.

I have to ask, what did he say to get them to give him FD? Was it the CM that was able to give it to him or did he have to talk to a supervisor? I'm sure it was nice not having to worry about changing your dates and dining reservations to fit within the dates given by disney.

I could tell he was so happy to finally give someone good news, after saying no to everyone the past couple days! He said he's only seen those rooms pop up since yesterday!
I'm soooooo excited! Yippeee!
I hope there are some more rooms out there...don't know if they were cancellation rooms or more placed out there for FD but GET ON THE PHONE MY FELLOW FAMILIES OF 5!

And, you very well know that at the exact same time your writing your response, that another person is posting something at the exact same time and it's luck of the draw who hits SUMBIT and in what order they are posting.

And as I cleared stated, this is simply what the CM said. I was quoting her, so feel free to call Disney and complain to them

And, as I stated in my previous post that I waited less than a min ! Or did you not read that ?

The point of my post was that the CM's remain positive that more rooms may be added back in.

Wow!! That is super-duper-ally-ooper terrific!!! Sounds like several are getting lucky today with those POR rooms.

I have been trying all day for POR and still can't get it. Keep rearranging my dates. So sad :-(

Yayyyyy! We're not a family of five, but we need two rooms from Nov 16-23. I hope my TA is being as diligent about checking as I am. I'm staying hopeful that she will have some Disney Magic to come our way!
