Finally got through. No POR for our dates so we'll stay at CSR ~ there was a Royal Guest Room when I first checked this morning and I should have snagged it then but I wanted to check other resorts. When I came back it was gone. Oh well, I've got over 3 months to fall in love with CSR ~ at least I'm going to Disney on FREE DINING!!!!
 
those of you sitting on hold--is it not possible to book online instead? i did that. i have an existing reservation, but i'm just going to cancel it later.

I have current reservations that are within the 45 day window so I have to modify my reservation on the phone. If I wasn't within my 45 day window I'd just book online and cancel first package later today. I just don't want to pay a cancellation fee.
 
Well this is not magical, I have been on hold for 45 minutes! Tried booking on line but an error keeps coming up. Seriously, you'd think that Disney would have this down by now. They would save a whole lot of time if they cut down on the hundred questions asked before you even get put on hold. Sorry, I am cranky! lol Hoping everyone else is having better luck than me!

Try the special offers page. That is where I was finally able to successfully book my ressie.
 

On hold now... This is all part of the trip for me. :goodvibes Is it sick that all the planning is just as fun as the trip itself?

i normally like to talk to a person, but doing it online seemed easier. plus, i have a toddler on my lap, so sitting on hold (and then trying to have a conversation with him trying to talk too) was not going to be fun.

I'm already booked and have paid for half the trip with gift cards.
 
Has anyone with POR AB room/rooms been able to modify and get FD? I've been on hold for what seems like an eternity and I don't feel hopeful about the outcome.

I don't either, 52 minutes on hold. Trying for 10/19-10/23

Can anyone answer, if I want to switch to 2 connecting rooms I have to do that on the phone or do I book it online, pay 2 deposits and call later to make sure they are connecting rooms?
 
Why can't TAs do it on a compter??? Why do they call, and wait for 2-3 hours on hold! Whats the point of have a TA if its going to take them longer, than it would us doing it outselves?

you have to call to modify a reservation too, you can't do it online.
 
Woohoo! First time posting in this thread but have been lurking for MONTHS! Was on hold for 43 minutes and only on with CM for 7 but got free dining at All Star Sports which was not showing availability online for FD. I am a happy momma and heading back to bed on this rainy morning!

Thanks to this thread for the heads up and good luck to everyone waiting! CM said there was 583 in line when I mentioned how busy they must be today!
 
:worried:I know one thing. I check online for CSR for when I'm going and it's saying no availability at all, I'm assuming that I still have my reservations that are paid for, BUT if this checking out and checking in screws me up and it comes down to me NOT getting CSR for fd, I will have some words for my TA and I will most likely to figure something out call Disney. Never will I go throught this travel agency again :worried: She could at least send a quick email and let me know she's working on it instead of me sitting her panicing and worrying...
 
Well apparently my TA is still sleeping because I sent her an email as soon as the FD was released and I haven't received an email yet from her:confused3 She should be ontop of this this morning...never again:worried:

Maybe she's busy talking to a cm....

Disney's system lets me make new reservations online, but I cannot modify existing reservations online. I have to do it over the phone, same as you. I do as many online as I can, but in certain situations, my clients are better off if I modify their existing reservation rather than create new ones, so I'm in the phone queue. There is a special TA-only phone number, but I honestly think it's answered by the same group of people answering the general phone calls.

I am hoping I will not be on hold for 2-3 hours. I have to go to my other job in 2 hours! :)
