okay, I am offically nervous. I think I am going to have to switch resorts, so should I book another reservation online and cancel my current one later? According to the website, some of the rooms are no longer available. How long will it take to get the deposit back?
Been on hold sine 7:00.

I am a Disney TA too and our calls go to CM's that just deal with Travel Agents. Some of my fellow agents and I were able to tour the Disney Reservation Center last year and we got to meet some of the CM's that we talk to! It was very cool.

There are actually CM's that specialize in all sorts of guests. That is why they ask questions in the automated system so your call is sent to the right CM. There are CM's for first timers, guests who go every now and then and for the guests who travel frequently. Very cool!

That's awesome! I just always assumed that even though you call the special number and have to enter in your information, it was going to the same pool of call center CMs.

We struck out on two fronts- we're only staying 5 nights so not eligible for FD and our hotel (Contemporary) is excluded from the RO discount.
Maybe next time....

You might check your dates online, I booked CR BLW for the first week of December for a discounted rate. I tried calling to change an existing reservation, but sat on hold too long so I did it online. Good luck

I used 1-407-939-7675. After being on hold for 54 minutes, I got through to a super sweet CM.

Unfortunately, there wasn't FD available at the POR for the dates we wanted (Oct. 23 - 29). She asked if I wanted her to check other resorts. We are already booked at the POR for those dates in a RGR and we weren't willing to change resorts.

She then checked the room discount and said that since I booked a long time ago and prices have gone up, if I book with the room discount, I would have to pay about $100 more.

So, no discount for me but that is okay. We are still going to Disney and staying at POR in a RGR with our DDs!

Done.....roughly 45 minutes from start to finish. Got moved over from Septembers FDing to Octobers FDing and moved from AOA to POP. Also spoke to dining and got the age of my middle son straightened out.....so he'll actually show up as 10 now when we check in at the podiums for our ADRs . Awesome CM Owen (and I didn't jot down the name of the dining reservation CM that helped me but she was awesome as well).

Thanks to Black for starting this thread, I'm so thankful for early information.......it let me book ADRs and events prior to the release so I wouldn't be scrambling last minute to find availability .
