After 2 seperate 1.5hr holds yesterday and an hour this morning....I finally got through. I didn't get POR for our dates.....I had to change to CSR. My husband is totally stressed out about this. We've stayed at POR for the last 5-6 years and we LOVE the ab section. The CSR is the only moderate we haven't stayed at. We don't like CBR at all....and POFQ is ok but we much prefer POR.

So .....someone tell me we will love CSR!! PLEASE!!!

CSR is a really nice resort!! Many people will tell you that the Dig Site is the best pool area out of every pool on Disney property!! So, definitely something for the kids (and adults) to enjoy there!! At the same time, I think there is a little bit of a romantic feel to it...especially in the Casitas area where there are a lot of fountains that are beautifully lit at night!! It is a big resort though and some people do complain about that!! Here's a really handy thread with lots of info that I used when I went a couple of years ago to CSR!! There's an unofficial website that has a lot of info too!! Just Google Coronado Springs resort and it's about 5 or 6 links down (for some reason I can't get link to copy). Don't worry and enjoy!!

I've been following along even though I'm not going back to WDW until Nov. 2014. I just wanted to tell those of you that upgraded to WL with FD that you are in for a treat! We stayed there last year and it was absolutely amazing. We had no complaints. My son was 3 at the time and it was his first trip to Disney. I think he loved the resort more than some of the parks!

I've been to the WL a couple of times to eat at WCC, and have always wanted to stay there. We're excited to finally be getting the chance :)

Finally got through, booked CBR.. just was checking my emails and it says POP- How did this happen?????

I can't spend half the day on the phone again!!
 
I have 10 y/o DS who would not be happy with princess themed room at POR Royal Guest room and it's more than $40 extra/night for it. I would love to stay there but it's not worth it for me since DS would not be happy.

Oh so its just the theming, like the pirate rooms. I get it now. :thumbsup2
 

My TA just did that for me. I already had a reservation with the dining plan and she just adjusted it to add the free dining :)

Thank you! I just got off the phone and they were able to change mine too.

I even had a super friendly Cast Member who sounded like Mickey Mouse and kept making noises and comments as he was updating the booking in the system!
 
I just got off the phone with a really nice CM. I was calling to cancel a couple of reservations I made online yesterday "in the frenzy" (yes, I was one of the double booking people but it was not TA related).

I still have my original reservation with no discounts because some of the nights are sold out (Poly Oct 19-25 - the 24th & 25th are the problem nights). I plan to keep calling and checking! ::yes::

As I was chatting with the CM about the crazy day yesterday she said they were originally told FD wasn't going to be offered this year but "our guests want it so whatever it takes..". She did say most of the calls she's been taking are people calling to modify their existing reservations to RO discount or FD; not many of the calls are new reservations.

She said their phone lines close at 11pm but if there are callers in the queue at 11pm they have to stay until all the calls are answered. They were there until 1am last night. YIKES!!

Do you think it's unreasonable to email my TA again today? I emailed her Wednesday night about the fd and then yesterday morning telling her that I had heard it's crazy and to try Por if not, try Poly.

Like I have posted on here , I haven't heard from her since Wednesday Morning. I don't want to be a pest..but I have no idea if she got me a reservation...or if I should be trying to do it myself....or what the heck to do.

I know she is probably crazy busy...Do you think its ok to shoot her an email asking how its going...or should I just wait and see if I hear from her sometime today?
 
In order to get the Free dining - I had to change resorts from Movies to Music - there were no preferred locations left - anyone have any suggestions for a standard room location? I want to be close to the food court and the bus stop....

You'll want to request Jazz. It's about the closest you can get without preferred. :thumbsup2

I'd email or call her....you have a right to know about your vacation. She should have gotten back to you. Even if its just an update call.
 
I was on hold for 35 minutes this morning, called exactly at 7:00, and I finally had to hang up -- had to get the kids to camp, get ready for work, etc. Could not afford to spend 3 hours on hold like I did in the morning. (Figured I spent at least 7 hours on hold yesterday, and never talked to anyone.)
 
For those worried about the CBR - don't be!

It is my sentimental favorite of all WDW properties. Yes, it's big - but I have never felt like it took a long time to walk to the food court. The theming is fantastic with all of the bold colors and the music playing all through the Port Royale complex. I think it has the best pool complex of all the mods, and if you've got little ones in the 5-6 and under range, they will love it.

Yes, there are a number of bus stops within the resort, but honestly - when I stayed at BWI last spring every bus ride involved stops at least 1-2 other resorts as well. In the end, 4 other stops within the same property or driving to another resort for additional stops feels like it kind of balances out. It does, at times mean the bus may be crowded by the time it gets to you.

My only complaint - the CBR is the only mod that is still waiting for queen beds, and that can be an adjustment if you're used to a king at home!

Give it a chance - if you enjoy a tropical feel, the CBR might just surprise you.

I just contacted Disney to verify why I haven't received the email confirmation. She did confirm it was sent but can take 24-48 hrs to receive and due to all the computer issues they were having may take longer. She did resend it and also sent hard copy through snail mail. So everybody still waiting for theirs from yesterday, don't worry it will be coming. :thumbsup2 Oh and she also said there are 300 people in the queue at this time. I kind of feel sorry for the CM's having to deal with all us crazy Disney people. :crazy2:
 
I was on hold today for about 45 minutes, but was able to move one of our POR Royal garden view to a Royal standard view, for Thanksgiving week. Popped up while I was on the phone with CM. Now I just need to snag one more for my parents. Fingers crossed. Trying to save a little bit where we can because we are hoping to fly. So everyone who still hasn't gotten their first choice, keep trying things are changing all the time!

I don't know if you already did this but if you call back, say it's for a new reservation, not an existing one. New reservations get through alot quicker.
