Just want to express how excited and happy I am, 20 days! Everything has worked out beautifully Got our Magic Bands, FP+ chosen, a Fantasmic, MSEP and BOG FP+ booked. Tried on my Halloween outfit last night, and really like it. Then we worked on packing our box we are shipping to the resort. Only things left to go in are some snacks that I want to buy the day before we ship for freshness. Just really excited and wanted to share

Everything has really worked out. Free dining, MNSSHP tickets, and a few days left. We can't wait to wake up out daughter and tell her "get ready, we are going to Disneyworld!!" What can be better than a vacation with the ones you love? Especially at Disney

us too. started with sis getting the FD Pin which allows us to keep our ressie at POFQ, got all the ADRs at perfect times when I made them at 180 days. Got the chance to use Magic Bands, FP+. Booked the BOG FP+, and Friday was able to book MSEP and Wishes with FP+. Paid more than I had hoped for airfare but other than that everything has fallen into place. Looking forward to a fantastic family vacation.

Hi gang! Thinking about souvenir money for kids.... What is your plan for that? How much are your kids taking? (if not too personal) Do you let them buy anytime or save up for the last few days? Just trying to get some ideas.....

Mine have each saved $30 so far.... Thanks for your ideas!

My kids have about $400 each. They got gift cards for their bdays. They can buy whatever they want than. They spend as they see things. Last year when we went, they had about the same amount (again bday money) and they both came home with some money.

Aww that's so nice of you to say. I like to help any way I can. It's one reason I haven't got into the January-April discount much until I get details. All that's been posted so far is the dates, and the rest is speculation. I've seen some of the same people contradict themselves and I don't like to do that. I want to help, not get people into a wile uproar...that almost happened once already.

Which reminds me, we need to have another live chat. Those that were involved will remember how crazy it was...loads of fun.

I'm guessing people probably vary widely here . We're budgeting about $850 for spending money, for 8 days for me, DH, 13 yr DS, and 7 yr DD (the expensive one . We are also going to the Wizarding World (may want wands), Kennedy Space Center (likely getting souvenirs for school and one of my students who enjoys space), and Clearwater Marine Aquarium (which may include photos with "Winter"). I'm not telling the kids how much money we are budgeting. That would just be plain dumb!
My big thing is, regardless of how much money you budget for souvenirs, we always make sure our kids have a chunk of their "own money" to spend as they please. We will give each of our kids $50 (plus they each have about $50 saved). When they want something that we really think is a waste, we say, "Ok. You can get it if you use your money." This works wonders! They will often pass up on things they thought they wanted once they realize how much of "their money" it will cost. It's a lot easier for them to spend our money than it is for them to spend their own. We save a lot of money and fussing this way!

Will be home in about 1.5 hours and have already started plans for the next Disney adventure. I say adventure because it does not always feel like a vacation; this one felt more like survivor...lol.

I have a question for those in the know. I have a 3 night trip planned for Dec. staying 1st 2 days at Saratoga Springs just going to DTD and maybe the Seaworld Christmas shows. Third day my plan is Epcot and we are spending the night at the Boardwalk Inn. Can I add a park ticket to that one night stay, get a magic band so I could be all set and just leave Saratoga and go straight to Epcot? Maybe even get FP for that day?
