Free Dining Oct 2011 - March 2012

Hi Guys/Girls,

The Walt Disney World® Resort has released a new Free Dining offer to cover dates from October 2, 2011 through March 31, 2012. Only selected dates and resorts are available, many dates are blacked out.

Available Travel Dates:

October 2 – October 8, 2011
October 23 – November 5, 2011
November 13 – November 19, 2011
November 27 – December 3, 2011
December 11 – December 17, 2011
January 8 – January 14, 2012
January 22 – February 4, 2012
February 12 – February 18, 2012
March 4 – March 10, 2012
March 25 – March 31, 2012

I have sent off for a quote from one of the travel agents to see what the price would be with free dining.
I was so excited when I got the email last night and it suited my dates

Would you believe our dates are 14th October, right smack bang in the middle of no deal !! Although, reading through alot of reports, paying full price for rooms and getting free dining is almost a push in terms of value, so not sure if I am disappointed or not !!

I think if you can get a room discount or some other deal it is probably better. It works out a good deal for me going by myself and given there are currently no other discounts for my date

I wonder if there will be free dining in May?? I would probably consider staying onsite if they had free dining or a significant room discount for when I go...

I think considering the current state of the US economy there are going to be lots of great deals for 2012 - and I think crowd levels will be lower than usual.

I was just about to book 10 days in a Cabin at FW from the 4th of Jan when after a little more research I was referred to a travel adviser who gave me a heads up on free dining from the 8th. She then explained that we could split our booking and get the free dining from the 8th. So we have 4 days to visit universal and Cape Canaveral without dining then 6 days to go hard at Disney with dining included. Thanks Tracey!!!

Now what to eat...

I haven't even done this trip and am already planning the 2012 sept/oct trip, and waiting for free dining to decide what dates to go.....

seriously, this is getting ridiculous.......even my DH is urging me on....he's an enabler..

so I'd like free dining 15 sept 2012 at POR for 7 nights please Mr Mickey.... then a discount on the fantasy for a week..plus cheap as V australia or ANZ airfares...see, I dont ask for much.

ok, now I have to go do some washing....bought 2 light weight blanky's for the plane $3 each at coles.....score!

When we went to DL in 2009, my DH was enthusiastic, but he had no idea how much fun we would have. He adored the character meals that I booked and as we sat eating breakfast outside at the Carnation Cafe on Main Street he told me that we definitely had to do this again.

So, now with this trip to WDW, I know that he is going to be even more impressed. I wanted 14 nights, but I got talked down to 12, so I can't wait for him to realise how amazing it is and suggest another trip (play evil genius music now)....!

I am thinking about 2014 (which is as depressing as death) but I figured that we can plan some kind of extravaganza that involves going to London to visit the in-laws - so yes, 31 days from the 2011 holiday and I already have 2014 in the works - I'm not crazy, I'm just organised......(OK, a little bit crazy)!!

No No busy, we are special not crazy...we enjoy the chase for the elusive free dining deal, the cheap airfares, the smell of fear when the DH realises he's just agreed to another bank breaking trip, the shock of family and friends when we announce our future trip as we are leaving for the airport on our current trip.....

If it wasnt for disney trip planning, what else would we do with our time/energy/money??????
cure cancer, save the whales, help old people across the street?????...I say NO!!!!

Let whales cure their own cancer, let old people wait for their grandkids before they venture out.......I love my planning, my planning keeps me sane in a world of crazy people that are traveling on the crazy train to crazyvile....

yep, I feel your pain & your shame....

the whispers, the looks, the finger pointing and small children fleeing in terror at the sight of us.....and thats just at christmas lunch.

If only they would accept us for who we are, to dis-criminate is a crime, to mock us cruel, to judge us is just not pixie dust-like.

This is an illness, a dna flaw, something in the water...what we need is a major telethon with major stars ie: alf from home and away to raise money to study this dis-ability and dis-cover the truth behind our dis-comfort.

I too know the shame of this addiction. I grab hold of anybody who has ever been to WDW and question them like they are a murder suspect. I feel embarrassment and pity for people who ask me "which one, California or Florida?" when I tell them that I am going to WDW. I smirk behind the back of my (non-Dis) cousin who is staying at Nickelodeon.

Yes I am evil and I must be stopped - but not until after the 13th of October!!

Come on people, dont they know WDW is in Florida???? How can i NOT make you feel small and stupid when you ask is wdw in LA...geeeze..or when you didnt know there are 4 disney cruise boats.....or that getting Garden Grill reservations on a EMH is nearly impossible.....or that BLT doesnt stand for the sandwich but for bay lake tower...

When I cant impress you with my Disney acronyms, then I'm not trying hard enough..

So while we count down our days as if our lives depend on it, spare a thought for all those who have no idea about 180 day out resi's, EMH, TOT, MYW, MNSSHP, CM.....oh how shallow and empty their lives must be....

So how many days til we get to BLT @ WDW and pick up our MYW KTTW including MNSSHP tickets while eating at Epcot.......???.

note: have you realised we are now so well planned we have nothing else to do but mock those who are not like us...ahhhhh, its like yr 9 all over again

Karen, that's so funny - I often describe my life as high school with mortgages because of some of the beeeoches that I have to deal with! Honestly, who cares about her shoes or the colour of her lippy - it takes me straight back to 1984!

As for those poor unfortunates who don't understand that I am travelling by ME from MCO to WL in WDW to pick up my MYW tickets from a CM, then heading to my ADR at WCC, well it's lucky that they aren't going to WDW - otherwise they might try to to eat a CS meal at CRT without an ADR while they are riding EE during EMH at DTD, all while staying in a DVC room at ASMR - just INSANE!!

Ugh, I needed a laugh - my day has been RS!!!
