Free dining now available on WDW site :)

How? I am getting over $500 a night for a two bed place!

Don't know what I did then! Now I'm getting a good rate. This has stopped me booking WDW today I am seriously thinking about staying here instead. Is it a bit scabby though or okay? I need better than clean!

This Sept will be first time staying there for us, its our 25th Anniversary so let Karen choose any hotel she wanted, GF, Poly etc. After having a 2 bed suite at the Swan & Dolphin last year she said she would rather have similar again so I found this and it had really good reviews, I had a discussion with Portugal1000 who has stayed there 5 times and I was convinced we should try it.

Long thread here with lots of info http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2951974

Hi, What sort of dates are you guys looking at? I'm trying for 24 October 2015 14 nights 2ad&2ch and says no availablility, are prices not released yet?
Thanks

Just waiting for DH to get home from work but I think I've settled on a one bed villa at OKW rather than the Beach Club. I LOVE staying at the BC, but I really don't think I can stand two weeks in one hotel room again with two teenagers. If the sofa beds are horrible me and DH will just have to sleep on them. At least there are two which I assume are both adult size, so technically the kids can have them and have a bed each.

We are having the same dilema! We love BC, kids will be 4 & 12 and wont share a bed so we looked at 1bed OKW, only £400 less that the BC but the amount of space we would have at OKW is a real plus for us, not sure on those sofa beds though!!
Looking into the Bonnet Creek too if those prices are right, might be an option.
Keep us posted on what you decide.:yay:

I couldn't get anything for 2015 so did a dummy 2014 booking to get an idea. I got £90 per night (eventually :) ) for a two bed villa which is really tempting. Is need to check the pool out though and photos as I am a terrible hotel snob I'm afraid.

HaHa, me too, i'm comfortable in my Disney bubble and if im going to a hotel weve never been to before i do loads of research!! Even the OKW i'm scouring all websites. Will probably end up at a Disney hotel !!

i have a stupid question for both of you :) where do i book for Bonnet Creek? is there a website?

I always book at www.vacationupgrades.com. I really can't recommend highly enough. 6th trip coming up and not a single complaint. Have taken friends and family who would also rebook without hesitation.

Never understand why I have never heard another English accent. Surprised it never caught on in England. We stumbled upon it by chance really. So glad we did.

They have some good pictures on booking.com

Pools are great, rooms huge. I just love it there.

You don't have much to worry about, we have stayed in some poor $25/nt places and still had great holidays, a hotel is just somewhere to sleep for us, as long as it has a clean bed then we will have a great holiday.

thank you both so much!!!

i'm off to check it out!

Yay - we are booked :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 18 nights at OKW next August (with US for 3 nights). Have booked our flights and our WDW accom today - I was pleased with the accom prices but not so pleased with the flight. However, it is done and we are going and most importantly for us, we are able to fly from our local airport. One downside was the airline has switched flights from Mons to Thurs which means we have to go 4 days earlier, so it's more expensive as we are still in US peak hol dates - cost an extra £400!! But, it means we are now back 6 days before the children return to school which makes me much happier as I felt uneasy about them returning the day after we got back! :thumbsup2 Let the planning commence.... Need to book US accom and car hire but waiting for those. Need bank balance to recover first! :lmao: Need to change my ticker as we go 6th August now, not 10th as originally thought! I can't believe we are actually going :banana::banana:

I'm only just catching up on all the treads here!

So pleased you've booked DLP! I bet you are more excited now it's actually confirmed! :D

Thank you Azza :thumbsup2

I have been trying to get quotes for 3 nights at a US hotel - not bothered bet HRH or RPR - whichever is cheaper! But for 2 rooms it's coming in at almost £2k! :lmao: It is because we've had to move the holiday forward to fit in with flights, meaning we are staying in a higher season hotel rate!! Have only managed 2 quotes as most places aren't loaded with 2015 prices yet for US. So fingers crossed I find something a bit cheaper nearer the time!

Did you book for 2015 with your Mum? I can't believe it's just over 4 months until you go this year - it will fly by :goodvibes.

We've not booked yet as some things are going on in the background that may effect when we can go so were gone wait a month and see what happens.

I should be in a position to confirm dates then for next year :) Probably looking at a week in Sept maybe a value resort just to keep this one cheap, wedding is in June 2016 so need to watch where my Disney money is spent! Ha!

I know I can't wait roll on 28/09! We've had to make some changes to our holiday which resulted in a cancelation of the cruise due to a wedding we now need to attend! We only just had enough annual leave to cover Disney which we needed to sacrifice a bit of to get the time available for a long distance wedding. :'(

Never mind though that's life, and it means we still get Disney and to go to the wedding! Maybe one year we'll get to go on a Disney cruise!! :D something to look forward too, id rather give up the cruise then my BC stay!

Oh wow £2k for 3 nights?!?! That is so expensive! Do you want the universal resorts for the express passes?

Are there any other alternative hotels you can look at?

Have you told your kids your going to Florida or are you leaving it a surprise??

I'm a bit nervous about booking my hotel/ticket/dining with WDW without the flights. Always booked it as a package deal and I get all nervous at the thought of not doing it this way.

But it may actually work out cheaper. The deal for Sept 2015 at SSR for 5 Adults and 1 child (he will be 3) in a 2 bed villa is looking good as long as we can get flights for around the £500 mark! What do you think my chances are?

Virgin and Travel City Direct are wanting silly money £14500, and £15000!!! so not worth it.
:confused3

What a shame about your cruise :( You will have to bank it for another trip! Think I'd have gone for the BC stay too :goodvibes.

I know, silly prices for US, but it's still peak school holidays over there :scared1:. I will keep looking - no massive rush to book though.

My children know about this trip - every time we have been to DLP we have surprised them but DD1 is so sharp, she worked it out last time and would going to Florida with all the prep etc. Plus, I enjoy talking to them about WDW - there isn't a day goes by when they don't ask about something - even little things. I think I'd miss that if I hadn't told them tbh. I don't regret telling them at all.

I read a really good tip that said not to tell them the night before that it's travel day the next morning. Let them think it's the day after (if that makes sense), that way, they will have a better night's sleep (not too excited) and will be super excited in the morning when you say you are heading off to the airport today - I am definitely going to do this! :lovestruc As we are lucky to be flying from our local airport which is 20 mins away, we will be able to carry this off no problem - as no overnight stays involved at airport hotels :cool1:.
