According to those who spoke with Disney Visa (on the Official Free Dining Thread), the dates are 08/26-09/22 with a 5/night minimum, it won't go public til 4/12 though.

On that note I have a question as well. I have a Disney Visa but I wouldn't be putting my deposit money to hold my reservation on it. I would be using cash for the deposit and then putting the remainer of the trip cost on the Disney visa. Now with that being said would I still be able to get the free dinning?

In the past, Visa holders have had to put the $200 deposit down immediately on VISA, no 14 day hold like they normally do.

The announcemnet was released to the Visa card employees today!!!! It is for the dates b/n 8/26/07 & 9/22/07. It has been officially announced to Visa holders. YES!!!!

And:

Just off the phone with Disney Visa
Here's what I was told:
Offer is valid for Disney Visa holders Starting Monday, 4/9 THRU an EMAIL LINK that will be good until 6/24. (bookings must be made 4/9-6/24)


This is For visits 8/26 thru 9/22 FREE DINING ADD ON
It must be a minimum 5 night stay at Value resort (though when I asked about moderates she thought it was likely)
AND it must have atleast a one day MYW base ticket.
Also offering 6 mos 0% interest for bookings!

This offer will go out to the general public on 4/12.

The woman I spoke with was reading off a computer screen and appeared to be VERY knowledgable for what thats worth!

I wanted to wait to put anything on the Disney Visa so the 6 months interest free won't start until my trip starts.

Thanks for the info. Looks like definitely no free dining for us. Our dates are Aug 12 - Aug 24. I kind of knew with all of the rumors that we wouldn't be able to get it, but now I've given up all shreds of hope. Sad, sad day for me , but at least now the suffering and waiting is over and we can finalize the rest of our plans. Now I just have to find a way to earn the extra money to eat, lol!

Maybe...I'm hoping all I have to do is call with my Disney Visa...dh is a freakazoid about us having online access to credit card accounts, so I don't have chase online OR have my email registered with them...he's a lickin the stamp kind of guy when it comes to paying bills! I hope I can still get in on the FD !!!!!! if not I might have to beg my DIS friends to help me!

I'm really not sure, last year you could upgrade if you'd like - I'm not so sure about this year. Also, I think they are trying to fill those values.

Doubt that would work, as I have heard you need the special code on the back of the card and everything, so even if you were approved but had not actually received your card, it may not work out.

Five night minimum, BOO . I was only going for 4 nights. Last year it was a 3 night minimum. I wonder why they changed it. We we're only going over a long weekend. Mother/Daughter only trip over a school holiday. How can I get this to work?
