Free Dining History - Predictions for '08

Yes, for those of us who already booked free dining last year with the bounceback offer you could add the deluxe dining as an upgrade- I think it was around $20 pp/per day for adults for the deluxe plan. I'm sure Disney is glad to add extra $ to your reservation. ---Kathy

Hey, you guys will be there the exact same dates we are. We will be at PORS 9/6-9/13. We too would like to upgrade to the DxDDP. For just $32.00 a day (to upgrade from the basic DDP to DxDDP) we think it would be a great deal.

When I made the ressie the CM was REALLY pushing the DDP and telling me that as an AP holder I could now buy the DDP without having to buy a one day ticket. I had to keep telling him, no thank you, I was going to wait and see if the free dining offer came out again. He kept saying that free dining was not going to be offered this year to the general public. Which I thought was funny, since a CM just a few days before was 'absolutely certain' it was going to be offered sometime in April.

I believe it is $32.00/day. I had the basic DDP booked for my May trip and when I changed it the DxDDP, they charged me an extra $32.00/day. (Unless maybe they are giving some sort of discount when you upgrade from the DDP to the DxDDP for free dining?)

I think the $20 amount mentioned is/was the CM price during one of their promotions.

The upgrade price was told to me when we called after booking the free dining bb promo like we do every year. We had asked about the deluxe dining and how much it would be to upgrade since the basic dining was "free". I've tried the DDP in 2008 and don't like it at all compared to the way it was so we may end up cancelling our free dining ressie and just booking room only or going with our DVC points. We were told though that basic dining was $37.99 per day for adults and the deluxe was $57.99 per day hence the difference of $20.00 pp per day we'd have to pay. Guess I'd better go check my confirmation!---Kathy

We'll be at the WL, but my husband's family will be at your resort....watch out Disney, here they come! It was really a no-brainer for us to do deluxe. We have 2 kids and want to do a breakfast & dinner each day, without spending too much OOP, the deluxe was the way to go for us.
