Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

I didn't see a BB offer in my room last fall at POP. Or the year before (fall 2013). I asked at front desk and also at concierge and was told "we haven't had those for a while." My guess is that it depends completely on 1) the resort and 2) who you are talking to at front desk/concierge and whether they really know what's what. If you are really interested, I would suggest you stop by periodically at both concierge & front desk & and also ask for the manager to try to satisfy yourself as to whether it is available. Good luck!

Either upon check in, or in your room is a small folder (last year it was red at POP, and blue at YC). Inside that folder, is a "Be Our Guest" booklet, the bounce back offer is folded and stapled into the middle. It really is not that obvious, and you must actually pull it out to read it.

For those with an existing reservation (maybe this has already been covered)...

I just got off the phone with Disney reservations and peeps with an exalting ressie, "should be able to apply any discount as long as dates and party members do not change"...hope this proves helpful to someone other than me :)
hmmm. I wonder if I can simply cancel my current check in of 10/24 or not since it's not exact dates

I don't know if this is something new. It translates into you need to add park hopper and/or waterparks and more option to get the offer.
Now if only POR would be included for all dates I already have the hoppers

Does anyone know when southwest will open up November air fare? Jet blue has had theirs open for a while now. JB gets us to Orlando at 745 and SWA lands at 445...so I'm hoping that SWA has some good fares for us!!
I believe it's May 14th. It's on their website. Double check it.

If the case is park hopper and water parks and more, how many people are going to spend that extra money to take advantage of FD? I would have to pause and think about it. Disney continues to excel at marketing. #trickey

The way southwest works is that their earliest sales for any particular dates are the best sales. The price generally goes up slightly with each sale after that. So start looking for sales as soon as the November dates come out. Also remember that you can always change your flight and receive a credit if a lower rate comes out on southwest.
Yes. Southwest is great about giving you a credit if the price of the flight goes down. You do have to use it within a year.

Crap. I just dropped our park hoppers the other day.

Why do you want to book as soon as it comes out? Do the flights normally sell out for you? In my experience I can book a flight up to two weeks out and there are still available seats on the plane. If you aren't planning on flying within a year then the credit is useless really because it's non transferable.

I would recommend just writing for the first sale. You've got nothing to lose.
I have found that three mos. out is when you will see the best prices. I have checked all of last year, just to keep track.

I need some pixie dust and luck sent my way. Also, any tips from you veterans who have stalked these boards for years and are familiar with the situation, your help is appreciated.

We are currently booked for POR 10/17-10/26. If rumors prove to be true, FD will be blacked out for us. I have been watching AoA LM rooms for a few weeks and no dice. We would rather switch to these than keep POR, even with a RO discount. My parents will also be coming as well, but they will make a separate reservation.

In y'all's experience, once fall promos are released, do a lot of the LM rooms usually open up since they are normally excluded from all promos? I am worried that since our dates are blacked out, people will not be leaving to switch to FD bc it will be blacked out everywhere else too. Anyone's advice is greatly appreciated. These rooms would save us a bunch, especially since we will definitely be paying OOP for food.

I wouldn't expect a lot of people to change dates, because a lot of families will be traveling for fall break.

But definitely keep checking on LM rooms! Maybe you'll get lucky and someone will cancel! :)

This is just a guess on my part, but I would check online on Monday (when Visa discount drops) to see if there are available rooms and again on the day it goes public. Yes, people may not switch resorts to get free dining since you are in black out dates, but people may switch their dates! So, keep checking would be my advice. And do it right when people are likely to be switching things around. Also, if you can be flexible, the full money on packages is due at 45 days before check-in, so there would likely be a few cancellations then?

It did not say both park hopper and water parks and more...it said park hopper and/or water parks and more. :) I do park hopper anyway, so I am good. I like the freedom.

I agree rooms at a discount are becoming harder and harder to get. I think I'm going to be paying through the nose for airfare. I'm getting a little nervous. Southwest flights are showing sold out, especially for nonstops, or have gone way up. Also, SW has cut back on the number of flights, especially on the return. I'm looking at October. I monitor the flights daily. I've been down the road with them and even if they say sold out, I've seen flights become available again. I told my DH, if I see something I'm buying it. He's a monthly budget kind of a guy.
I have seen many sold out flights as well for October! And I agree the times for non-stop are fewer and fewer. I'm going to start watching as soon as they come out on May 14th and then decide.

I realized I left out a CRUCIAL point in an earlier post

For those with an existing reservation (maybe this has already been covered)...

I just got off the phone with Disney reservations and peeps with an EXISTING ressie, "should be able to apply any discount ONLINE as long as dates and party members do not change"...hope this proves helpful to someone other than me :)

ETA: Sheesh I left out the most important part!!! Should be able to apply for the discount online!!! Jeez...face palm!!!

I left out a crucial piece of info from that post sorry! See my subsequent one!

ETA: I failed to quote someone just now, so sorry for being redundant!

I didn't see the and/or. Last summer, my family did PH for the first time. It wasn't really our cup of tea and we missed having multiple resort days.
