Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

In talking about the Bounce Back offers, I missed it last year because I didn't know you just had to call. But from what is being said, it's offered every year? Like when I go this October it will most likely be available?
Based on history, yes. Based on trends--hard to say. For last year, you could have gotten a FD BB to return Aug 20 through early Oct. Again, always have to call before you leave! They are sticklers on that one.

This is good to hear. We are staying at Sports since Movies seems to be excluded from discounts lately. We really liked Movies in 2013 and are hoping to like Sports too.

I've stayed at Movies and Sports both and liked them - both seem about the same to me. We're going back to Sports this November

Regarding Southwest, we have never paid for premium boarding and we usually wind up somewhere in B. There are 4 of us, and our girls are now 9 and 11, so we can't use family boarding. We have never been split up though. There was only one time we couldn't immediately get seats together (we were trying to sit one parent with each kid - didn't care if all 4 of us were necessarily together), and the flight attendant said not to worry, they would never make kids sit alone. She simply asked someone to trade with one of us. So I don't think you need to pay for priority board necessarily.

Well last year was my first trip ever on property so I'm learning lol. It definitely would have eliminated the stress of FD release dates right now! If available, I'll definitely be booking this year.

We were there 10/18-10/25, booked the bounce back for 9/5 to 9/12. I just called the BB line, I never received anything in my room or welcome booklet that showed free dining.

They used to be clearly displayed but now are more hidden. There is normally a booklet in your room and hidden within that booklet (often near/in the middle) is the current BB offer. No longer does it seem to be a focal point when you enter your room as it was in the past.

Ok so this thread is yaking 3 pages an hour....LOL

:welcome: to the new people joining the thread. And Thank you to all you very patient people who keep repeating the same answers because the thread has got so big and people are asking the same questions. I don't know how to search either so it's helpful you patiently keep answering.

One note to new people that might not know all the letter throwing around here. DVC has been used here as Disney Visa Card and maybe can I suggest just using DV because there is a DVC for Disney Vacation Club. Which are totally different promotions/discounts.

So since this is a "whole lot more" thread, and I see BB questions are coming up, I have one as it appears some agents are on this thread from some of the knowledgeable answers.
When I go in October, if I'm looking for RO in February but I'm not positive of my dates yet, can I book say two weeks worth of BB RO offer, and then when it gets closer, finalize the dates by canceling some of the RO nights that I over booked? Also if I do a BB and I don't have a set definite guest coming with me, can I add a person's name later?
I seem to have developed a coping strategy of escape to Disney so there is a good HOPE to get another trip or two in before next October and we are considering Annual Passes. Lots of Math going on around here lately. It's all dreaming but no way a reality....YET!

BTW my airline preference is Jetblue and my gutt is telling me to wait until Monday to book flights but reading all your posts has me freaked about waiting. sigh. I wish I could walk away from the computer. But it's not working out too good.

Hubby and I have already discussed that this year when we arrive (in November) we will be calling the BB line to see what we can get for 2016. We have never done BB before, so I'm hoping we can get a good room discount for the next year (hoping same time frame) so we can stay deluxe on our next visit. It will be fun knowing our next trip is booked before we even leave the current one!

On a side note: Thank you for all the responses about southwest and the tips on booking when the fares first come on on May 14th for November! I will be buying our plane tickets that morning and I will not be buying the extra pass to board with the A group since now I know that we will be allowed to board with the family boarding since we will have a 2 year old. YAY for the DIS, I always learn so much when I get on here and plan :disrocks:

We use United bc hubby is a pilot for ExpressJet, one of their regional carriers. When we can get discounted tickets it's a no brainier for us. Especially with a 20+ hour drive and a 3 year old that gets carsick easily. Happy flying!
My husband is a pilot too :) We also buy tickets when we can get a good price because there was no way I was non revving to MCO. LOL Still need to buy our tickets for our fall trip.

This is my plan too, although my DH doesn't know yet. I'm hoping to book a bounce back for just the two of us for 2016. Leave the kids at home and have another adult trip. Considering he turned down many vacation destinations for his 40th birthday and wanted to take the kids to Disney (we'll celebrate on this trip), it's not the Disney I have to convince him of...it's the Disney without kids (which we've done many times, but only once since having little ones)!

For those with an existing reservation (maybe this has already been covered)...

I just got off the phone with Disney reservations and peeps with an existing ressie, "should be able to apply any discount as long as dates and party members do not change"...hope this proves helpful to someone other than me :)

ETA: Sheesh I left out the most important part!!! Should be apply to discount online!!! Jeez...face palm!!!

Aaaaaaand of course my dates fall in the October blackout...

Same Here! Went for the first time last year on our Fall Break and was blacked out then as well. Trust me appreciate any offer Disney Gives, but it is upsetting that they intentionally black out the school fall break dates. :(

They intentionally black them out because rooms are filled to their desired levels without free dining. It's always been that way, unfortunately, but it's just the way businesses work. There is still a chance for a bit of savings on your room, though. :)

I guess it been a long while since i have been here, but what is BB stand for? (I am thinking Blizzard Beach) but somehow i don't think that is correct! LOL!!

It is for the "bounce back" offer. If you book another reservation, before you check out, you can "lock in" a deal for you next visit

I learned all about the BB here last spring and was set on booking it during our fall trip in 2014. I looked in the room and in our check-in folder - no BB info anywhere. We were at CBR from 11/11- 11/19. I thought it would maybe appear towards the end of our stay or in the checkout packet. I decided to call on 11/16 just to check and the Free Dining BB offer ended 11/15 - only % off was available. I was heartbroken :-(. They wouldn't give it to me. I am not sure if the online checkin process lead us to getting less info when we arrived at the resort???

My advice is call the number when you get there and maybe during your stay to see if it changed -- all the hours I would have saved - now I am obsessed with the Dis again!!! And in the same boat as last year
