Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

He does list his predictions for this year in the yellow chart. He has the 16th through 29th of August listed as "only Agencies". Here is what he says in the blog about that:

"As if that were not enough, last year travel agencies had a plus compared to direct contracting with Disney and dates of the promo started as early as August 17."

I didn't realize TA's had more dates than GP? Is that true in the US? Only is SA? Not true at all?
It may be. I know that my TA (CAA - sister of AAA in Canada) tells me that she always has more room availability than the number of rooms released by Disney to the general public.

I am suddenly having a brain fart. Is FD for the length your stay and not tied to how many days you have park passes? ie, 10 day resort stay but only 7 days of tickets. How many days of FD (assuming dates fall within the FD dates)?

Yes, length of your stay.

One more question! Thank you by the way! Do they alert you the day it goes on sale, or is there a day or two period before you can book?

There are often emails sent out but normally hours after the offer has started and not everyone gets the emails. That's my experience anyway. I've found the boards here to be my best source of information.

Looks like a couple nights missing sleep due to excitement coming my way. Sadly I can't book Monday (if rumors are true and the ball starts rolling Monday) due to being Canadian but I'm normally excited and checking boards anyway. Big question will be when the offer drops to the GP? Normally it's 3 days after the VCH offer but right now there are two dates of Apr 30 and May 1st swirling around.

Best sleep now as it looks like not much will happen next week. :)

It's entirely possible that the offer goes public Monday. I don't think SA residents are eligible for a DV, and they have the booking date as 4/27. Visa could be tomorrow, or not at all.
Wait, why could VISA be tomorrow?

My Disney TA just threatened to dose me with Xanax.
We are already booked at CBR 9/26-10/3 and are going regardless of FD. I have already booked my ADR's. Should I have him rebook with my Disney Visa on Monday or just take my chances May 1st? He said if I rebook I will lose my ADR's but if everyone is rebooking and ADR's are being released for lots of people maybe I'll get the reservations I couldn't get earlier? (Like BOG and Garden Grill).
He basically told me to CTFD (we work together) and that he has this covered...pixiedust:

Those dates above, written in English...
Aug 15-Oct 2
Oct 25-31
Nov 8-19
Dec 15-21
Booking on 4/27

This is a good, solid rumor. Don't make any irreversible plans until the offer is officially released, and don't get your hopes up because until they release it, it isn't set in stone. There are several days between now and 4/27. Anything can change.

ETA: the post directly above mine is obviously in English. It wasn't there when I started my post. Lol!!!

I'm really surprised by the December 15th dates. Last year it was 12/12 so I was hoping for more like the 11th. This will probably make our trip shorter now by 4 days!

I know this was kind of asked days ago, but I can't find the answer.

Is there any downside to booking online rather than waiting for the phone lines to open?

Two years ago I waited on hold for 2 hours to change my booking to free dining. I gave up and made a new booking with free dining and then cancelled my old reservation and everything worked out great.

This year is different as I don't have an existing reservation yet, I will just be making a new reservation. Am I missing the benefit to doing the reservation by phone?

Thanks!!! :)

Good luck to all of us!!!

I have our first ever Disney trip booked for Sept for our twins 4th birthday... If free dining is available I will be extending the number of nights we are there.
I have all ADR and BBB planned and booked. I can not lose them as I have the girls bday dinner planned at CRT.... that would be the end of it for me...

I start a new job next week and can't spend the morning on hold... so I thought I would just log in at 6am and make a new reservation....
I called this morning and asked this very question.."Can I book a second trip with some overlapping nights" I was told the system would automatically cancel both reservations :-(

Question: Did you make your new booking with the same account? Or a different account?

I could use my husbands email address I guess and just add in our dining reservations to his account

Online - 6am Eastern
Phone - 7am Eastern
Correct?

Regardless we are going... but free dining would be a HUGE savings allowing us to spend extra nights

I explained it in the post you quoted. Lol!
Okay, so because SA has a public release date of 4/27 and DV is usually 3 days ahead, it could be tomorrow. Or they could completely bypass the DV offer and go straight to gp. I haven't gotten my visa yet :/

Very quick of you to see this! I don't think Disney Visa is offered to non-US residents (eg I'm Canadian and don't think I can get one) so likely the same for South Americans. Not that I'm trying to pour fuel on the fire here with the rumors and date speculation. But you are one smart cookie!

Why would your ADR's be lost? They have nothing to do with your reservations.

August 15 - October 2
October 25 - 31
November 8 - 19
December 15 - 21

We've got a package booked for Oct 24-30. Should I change the reservation to a room only on the 24th and then the package the 25-30th? Will this make it easier to change when the offer is released? We're planning Legoland on the 25th so we really wouldn't miss the 1 day of meals. Has anyone done this - do they make you check out and check back in? Thanks everyone!
