Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

My Disney TA just threatened to dose me with Xanax.
We are already booked at CBR 9/26-10/3 and are going regardless of FD. I have already booked my ADR's. Should I have him rebook with my Disney Visa on Monday or just take my chances May 1st? He said if I rebook I will lose my ADR's but if everyone is rebooking and ADR's are being released for lots of people maybe I'll get the reservations I couldn't get earlier? (Like BOG and Garden Grill).
He basically told me to CTFD (we work together) and that he has this covered...pixiedust:
I thought bookings didn't affect ADRs. Do they actually rebook or just modify the reservation?

It's entirely possible that the offer goes public Monday. I don't think SA residents are eligible for a DV, and they have the booking date as 4/27. Visa could be tomorrow, or not at all.

Should we be prepared to try tomorrow as well? I can't find the explanation for this on the thread; stupid job, keeping me from Disney stuff!

Very quick of you to see this! I don't think Disney Visa is offered to non-US residents (eg I'm Canadian and don't think I can get one) so likely the same for South Americans. Not that I'm trying to pour fuel on the fire here with the rumors and date speculation. But you are one smart cookie!
She really is!

We've got a package booked for Oct 24-30. Should I change the reservation to a room only on the 24th and then the package the 25-30th? Will this make it easier to change when the offer is released? We're planning Legoland on the 25th so we really wouldn't miss the 1 day of meals. Has anyone done this - do they make you check out and check back in? Thanks everyone!

The recommendation thus far is to not change anything until the official announcement is made regarding FD.

I have our first ever Disney trip booked for Sept for our twins 4th birthday... If free dining is available I will be extending the number of nights we are there.
I have all ADR and BBB planned and booked. I can not lose them as I have the girls bday dinner planned at CRT.... that would be the end of it for me...

I start a new job next week and can't spend the morning on hold... so I thought I would just log in at 6am and make a new reservation....
I called this morning and asked this very question.."Can I book a second trip with some overlapping nights" I was told the system would automatically cancel both reservations :-(

Question: Did you make your new booking with the same account? Or a different account?

I could use my husbands email address I guess and just add in our dining reservations to his account

Online - 6am Eastern
Phone - 7am Eastern
Correct?

Regardless we are going... but free dining would be a HUGE savings allowing us to spend extra nights

That didn't happen to me. Maybe they misunderstood your question? I had a reservation booked for the exact same days that I re-booked for online.
I kept the old reservation at first (just in case), and booked the new reservation with free dining. I think I called later that night to cancel the old reservation once the phone lines weren't as crazy.
I used the same account number. I actually had two rooms booked that way. I was so stressed out that I was going to mess things up but everything worked out!

6am online and 7am phones is what I have heard as well. I was on hold two years ago for a few hours. I called work on another phone to let them know I was going to be late. After a couple of hours I gave up! Lol.

I think you should be fine doing what I did, but I don't want to give you the wrong advice and something doesn't work out for you. Maybe call and speak to someone else?

Seriously guys.... I
Was picking up from preschool and gone an hour and there are like 7 new pages!!!! Holy moly!
If I quickly skimmed the pages right....
Am I right that these dates were based on this twitter/blog from SA?
And then the potential Friday Disney visa release is based on previous history?????
The thought that it could be tomorrow..... I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!!!!!!!
Yippee!!!!!!!!

That's exactly what you would do, and yes, you have to check out and back in. No guarantees to keep the same room, but they would link the reservations, and might be able to tell you if you can have the same room upon your first check in. Just don't do anything until it's officially released.

Why would your ADR's be lost? They have nothing to do with your reservations.

crb is right, your resort reservation shouldn't effect your ADR's.

No, the potential Friday visa release is based on the speculated South America public release on 4/27. If that date is correct for the general public then the visa release would come 3 days earlier (tomorrow) if it comes at all.

You TA is wrong on this. Are they really a certified disney travel agent? Not trying to be mean, but they should know that the two do not effect each other. Others will not be having their dining reservations released either. You may see some things open up if people switch around dates to fit in with free dining, but more people will potentially book too.

Again not trying to sound mean, I just don't like people giving out wrong advice that could mess things up for you. I would get them if you have a disney visa to resolve things for you in order to secure free dining at the hotel you want. I'm always of the opinion of doing things right away rather then waiting and potentially if free dining is best for you having to switch resorts to take advantage of it.

Thanks for the help. That does sound like a pain. Any harm in making a second package reservation under my husbands name for the different dates? Will they let me have overlapping packages with the same people? I'm worried once "free dining" comes out the package may actually go up in price.

I love your costumes and have to ask - were you dying of heat in your Black Widow outfit? It looks awesome but I remember it being hideously hot when we were there in 2011 for MNSSHP.

Is there any news about excluded resorts for the free dining. I'm going in the end of September and am staying at POR. I know last year it was excluded but the other years it was always included. Hoping it's included this year.

Those dates above, written in English...
Aug 15-Oct 2
Oct 25-31
Nov 8-19
Dec 15-21
Booking on 4/27

This is a good, solid rumor. Don't make any irreversible plans until the offer is officially released, and don't get your hopes up because until they release it, it isn't set in stone. There are several days between now and 4/27. Anything can change.

ETA: the post directly above mine is obviously in English. It wasn't there when I started my post. Lol!!!

Well that will leave us out for FD this year. Oh well. Maybe some people will switch resorts and an AoA LM room will open up with a RO discount for our dates.
