Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

I haven't read all the pages, so I don't know if anyone has said this yet...but when we were there last September with our free dining, our Bounce Back offer in the room only offered the free dining (of any kind) for the Moderate and Deluxe properties. We have always had the option of the value with Quick Service or upgrade to Basic Dining. We didn't book... I can not justify $500 just for a larger room.
Values were also included in that bounceback.

You also can think of it as $500 for a bigger room, and more food (as you're getting table service credits). In the past, I'd rather book a bounce back and know we're getting Free Dining than have to wait and see if it's even offered. We did Universal last year so that wasn't an option.

So is anyone waiting and hoping for free dining this fall? Here's a list of past offers and when they became available.

Most of the time (although not always) Disney Visa members get advanced opportunity to book a few days before the general public.
Remember, just because you have a reservation at a resort offering FD you do not automatically get it. You must still call and have it added. If you do not plan to book unless you get FD, dont book in hopes of it being offered. Disney only offers it to fill rooms, so if they have enough rooms booked for a resort FD will likely not be offered.
Please feel free to use this forum for ANY questions related to Disney. It is not just limited to FD.
For example, does anyone know if the Villians' Soiree will be offered again this year for MNSSHP?

I am waiting and hoping for free dining in October!

I really want to book now, but waiting to see what they might offer in late Nov or Dec.

This may have been answered already but if Disney visa holders get advanced opportunity to book will you be able to do so online or must you call?

Just got my disney Visa card! Will be ready and waiting for that announcement now :) I don't charge much, just one bill that I pay each month so I won't get many points back but I think the chance to book early for free dining is worth it :)

Last year was a nice surprise when they announced FD for nov and dec in early May. I'm really hoping they will do the same this year because it would be nice to be able to get all my adrs when I have our pkg booked so we can take advantage of reserving our adrs at 180+ days. :-)

Yes!!!
I feel like the sooner it happens, the sooner my anxiety will let up. Holding off on booking and therefore holding off on truly picking a resort is stressing me out!

No kidding!! I was going to hold off but I don't know if I can anymore. If I don't book soon I'm gonna miss out on my ADR booking window and cheaper rooms are already gone at CSR where I wanted to stay! If I had just booked a few weeks ago I could have gotten what I wanted, now I'm kicking myself because the next best is standard at CBR and that's not my first choice!

I have been stalking this thread for a while, but thought I would say hi. We are staying at Art of Animation 9/11-9/20 and hoping for free dining which if we get we plan to upgrade. We have been planning since September of last year, however I just had to redo my ticker because we changed resorts and it was set up for our old resort. Super excited to be going back!!

We are planning for the following ADR's Chefs de France, Hollywood & Vine, Sanaa, Be Our Guest, Tutto Italia, Chef Mickey's, Whispering Canyon, Garden Grill, Crystal Palace and Ohana Breakfast. We have never been to any of these so we are super excited!!!

All those sound great! Do you have little one's or you just like the character buffets? I'm taking my DD1 and it's my first time going as a parent so I'm hoping to get in a few character meals too. Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace are at the top of my list. I also love Chefs de France and go there every trip. I've never tried the others on your list but was thinking about trying Ohana's and Be Our Guest.

March 10th and here I am-----joining a free dining watch for September/October. Not even sure if I am going but what the heck----let's watch together.

Does anyone know when it opened for Visa holders last year? I was late to the game and missed my opportunity before it went live to the public.

Also, has anyone done free dining with just two adults? Is it worth it?
We usually go as a family but mom and dad going alone this year for anniversary :)

I think I remember reading that it became available on May 7th.
Depending on what resort you're staying at, a room only offer may save you more with only 2 adults. :)

May 2 for Disney Visa/Debit holders, and May 7 for public. You would have to do the math to see if it is the better deal if two deals are offered.

We have four kids who are all Disney fanatics, my 17 year old DD had to have Crystal Palace because she loves Pooh. My 10 year old DD is autistic and characters are a very important part of WDW for her so that is a big reason, but we all love the characters too!

S if we get the free dining may 2 and my ADR date is May 3, do I get to make reservations for CRT or hope dee doo wiht the "credits" or do I still have to pay for them now?
