Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

S if we get the free dining may 2 and my ADR date is May 3, do I get to make reservations for CRT or hope dee doo wiht the "credits" or do I still have to pay for them now?

As long as you have the Dining Plan added to your vacation, you can make those ADR's and not have to pay in advance. You do, however, still have to have a credit card to hol dthe reservation though. Remember, Hoop Dee Doo will cost you two table service credits!! Well worth it though...We do it everytime we go!!!

If you currently have a resort reservation with a dining plan, you will not have to pay in full at the time of booking. If you do not have a dining plan on your reservation at the time you book your ADRs, you will have to pay, and be reimbursed later.

As long as things haven't changed, you'll have to CALL in to make your ADR if you're booking something that requires prepayment and you want to use your Free Dining credits.

We were there in October 2014 and booked a trip for Oct 2015. We got a bounceback offer for free dining and the cut off day was October 2 (Friday) the day of our check in.... Last years cut off date was Oct 3 (Friday) and was also our check in day....I don't know if it will be the same if it offered later but you may want to try to check in by Friday the 2nd..

I am really hoping that something wonderful comes up in a special offer. We have a large group going this late Nov early December and Free dining would help some of our group with a lower cost. Of course a 30% off or more at a Moderate or Value would be nice for them too since we already have TIW!

We are Thanksgiving at Disney folks! Based on our previous trips, free dining would be valid on arrivals up to and including November 21st. Room only discounts would also end close to that date. If you check in by the 21st, free dining would apply to your entire stay. Room only discounts would not!

Not a bad idea. Will check my dates and see if I can push it back to that weekend. It would be totally worth it if dining cut off is around the second. Historically it's always no good once Columbus Day hits. Thanks for the tip!

We are hoping for free dining in early October. The earliest we can arrive is Oct. 3. We are not booking until we know if we can get free dining. I have a couple questions. What is the best way to be alerted to when the free dining becomes available? I am afraid I will miss the opportunity to book when and if it comes up. Also if I wait for free dining to book will I not be able to get ADR's easily? Is there any way around this? Can I book ADR's if we haven't booked our trip and cancel if there is no free dining?

I knew free dining usually was announced in May for the fall dates. Doctor disney leaked the details about a week before the promotion was released. You'll normally have about a week heads up as Disney normally releases free dining to its visa cardholders a week ahead of the general public. This was his 2014 announcement.

Agreed. Just wonder if there will be any rooms available at the time of the announcement for that day. Either way, it's taking a chance. Might as well go for the one that will save more money and wait for the announcement..

Why was I thinking that the AofA suites were regular dining plan and not qs dining plan for the FD offer?

a few years ago it started Aug 22 last year Aug 30..........hoping it's early this year or at least a good offer....current one is only good until June, does anyone have any idea when another offer should be on the disney website?

I've seen posts that CMs have told callers that a mew offer (likely Summer) should be out ~ March 28th. Of course take any info from CMs with a grain of salt but seems like with PINS going out for Summer discounts, the GP offer should be coming soon.

No idea. They have only received the QSDP for free. Lol
