Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

My 2 cents on the bus system at POP (since this seems to be a topic of conversation today). I am not staying there this year. I have been there twice. I love the resort. I love the bowling pin pool, the food court and just the general layout of the place. I'm not booking there this year, primarily, because of the bus situation. The Pop bus station is always the furthest away from every park. It has the longest lines and seems to have the longest waits for the buses, especially at park closing. It is my only gripe about POP. One night the line was so long that it went past all the other bus stops to the very first nearest the park exit. People had to walk around the line to get to their, much less crowded lines at the stop. It was insane. And this was during a slow season. So....for that reason I've moved Pop to the bottom of my list. I don't know how Art of Animation is....I know they have a dedicated bus. Has anyone had a better experience with their bus?

My TA and I were emailing back and forth about the Disney Visa Card, and when I asked her about Free Dining, she replied:

"Anything new probably won’t come out till after June 15, when the deal they are doing now ends."

I really hope that's not what they're going to do, the thought of having to wait another month and a half is torture...

Speculation.

AoA will be about the same. We've stayed at pop the last 6 years, and when the lines are that long, buses were coming 3 at a time for us. Lol

I've experienced the same thing at All Star Movies, BUT when we had lines that were so long at the closing of the park, they would have back to back buses for us, sometimes it took a few extra minutes because they had to "call them in" or grab them from a different route? Not really sure, but they always got a few there quick. It didnt "feel" quick cause we were so tired! lol

Does anyone know how much advanced warning there is from Disney before Visa Card members can start booking? Do they usually give a few days notice?

So....let me get this right. You can book any resort. There is a specific list of resorts in the BB offer. And....will they specifically tell you what the savings will be? Thank you in advance....you have been very helpful!
Correct. There will be dates listed that are available to book the BB offer. It will tell you if it's a percent off rooms, free dining, etc. They should be able to give you exact amounts when you call the number listed from your resort.
If you're interested in the BB, be sure to book before you check out.

Yeah....I have been there when multiple buses come but still had to wait an hour. It is very taxing after a long day at the park. I'm just hoping the monorail is a better system. Does anyone have monorail experience on a busy night at park closing?

Well...I'm certainly going to check into it....after I look to see if my vacation calendar is clear for next year! LOL

You bring up several factors I had not previously considered in making a reservation for not just my family, but my parents too. My father is 80 and has had a knee replacement. Maybe a moderate would better suit their needs, if the resort bus stops have benches with shade as well as stops closer to the park entrances. I also imagine he will be spending more time in the room and at the resort than anyone else, so maybe a moderate would also would be me desirable for them in that respect as well. This is the first vacation I have ever planned for my parents, and I'm nervous about messing it up!

I might have missed this elsewhere in the thread but are family suites typically included in the free dining offer? How much is it to upgrade from QS to TS if you'd like to do so? Thank you in advance!! :)

So, do you think if this 27th is for real we will see more " rumors" in the next couple of days?
Or will people just start posting on Monday morning if/when they get thru to disney?
How many of you will dial disney right at 7:00am on Monday?
I'm do excited i can't hardly take it!!!
I have some serious work to do... My dates are flexible and I'm flexible on resorts... Although I'm a family of 5 so I'm limited, but I need to start figuring out my list of dates/resorts in case my 1st pick isn't included!!!

If this turns out to be true, we will start hearing details before the weekend!!

Yes, family suites are normally included.
For adults it's around $20 per night to upgrade to TS and around $3 for kids, if I remember right.

I just read somewhere $ 18 and change for adults per day. I don't remember the kids rate.

This whole process is just so stressful! What's left of my brown hair is turning white! I do love all the energy and excitement but.....WOW.....I'm so anxious! Disney....please....end our pain!
