Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

I can't for the life of me understand why people give CBR a hard time about transportation. My family and I prefer the transportation there.
Scenario #1 POP You get to stand in the hot sun or rain and wait in a line with a bunch of other people.
Scenario #2 CBR You get to sit on building covered benches. You don't get wet, you don't cook in the heat and after walking in the parks for days, who wouldn't rather sit than stand? It takes a whole 2 or 3 minutes to pick up the rest of the stops. Easy peasy.
Just sayin' ;)
And, from my experience, the ride to most parks is shorter from Mods.
We prefer one stop because it's orderly and we know we will fit onto the bus. We went to a Poly stop to head to DTD and even though we were the first people to arrive at the stop, everyone jumped up and got on the bus before us. Annoying! Lol! As for standing in the sun or rain, we do that in the parks and live. Another 10 minutes is not that big of a deal. Lol! Different strokes for different folks. :)
My thoughts too. I hated that at POR people just jumped in front of everyone and boarded. I liked the lines at Pop, which is odd to say...but it just seemed more organized and people didn't have the chance to be rude! haha

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This! We stayed at POR one time and hated the bus stops for this reason (people jumping in front of people. You'd think consideration would play a part in some people's behavior... UGH! We love the cattle corral at POP! :)

so after looking at this once again, I realized that the average promotion doesn't come out until 2-3 months before the offer date starts. We are booked for 3rd week in September so I'm assuming Sept-Dec promotions will come out somewhere between beginning of May-beginning of June. I'm fine with that as long as it's before we have to pay in full in case we need to switch our dates. The Sept people will be cutting it close.

Buses.. what are those? Five dollar taxi ride from CBR to BW then boats and monorails all day. Ten dollars for not worrying about busses is well worth it (only works for DHS, Epcot, and MK of course)

Thankfully our daughter's favorite part of the vacation is the buses! Don't know why. The kid isn't deprived by any means but she just loves the thrill of trying to get "her" seat on the bus (she likes the back row corner).

I can relate, I feel the same way about the outside seats on the back of the boats. Any person in that seat when I get on immediately and without legitimate reasoning becomes my sworn enemy. My wife gets a kick out of it.

Usually a website will drop the specifics, like Chip & Co. or Mousesavers and someone will post it here.
Thanks! Last year I spent an hour on hold and an hour sorting through the dates and resorts because ours didn't fall in line. We just ended up keeping what we had. I'd love a deal this year!! We had the best trip ever last year with the introduction of FP+ we couldn't wait to go back.
We usually do ever other year

My kids love the bus and music playing too! We stay at POR and my DH puts the music on his iPhone to play all year for us.
We have issues.

I love the bus stops at POP, I don't want to start my day grumpy because someone jumped in front of me to get on the bus. I'll have to deal with that enough at rope drop.

Hey, guys, remind me--with the DV offer, can I book a room for someone with their name as the lead, give all their info and kids info, and still pay with MY DV for the $200 deposit even though neither myself or my wife would be booked in that room? I know in the past that I have booked three rooms with me in one of the rooms, but never tried booking something for someone else without me booking for me at the same time (we have a bounce back offer and are already booked).

We are planning to visit for 8 nights but am playing around with visiting 10 nights instead. However I have no idea at this time if we can work that out. Can I book for the 10 nights now with free dining and then modify it later to remove the last two nights if I have to?

I was told in order to book a room for the BB offer, one of the current occupants has to be lead on any rooms for the offer. We were hoping to book 2 rooms next Spring using a BB offer this fall...(if it works out that what we want is offered)... but since our room this fall with be occupied by my husband and myself, the only way to do it would be to have him as lead on one room, and me on lead for the other. Since next Spring's trip is a "girls only" trip, it won't work...hopefully, I can still get a discount, or free dining on one of the rooms, and then book the other when we return - and put in a request for adjoining rooms. We'll see...have to wait until we get there to see what is offered for BB...

Yes, Free Dining is tied to your length of stay (nights.) As you change your length of stay the attached dining plan also is able to be changed.

Did you know the kids can ask the drivers of the buses and boats for transportation cards? Actually, I don't know if they still do this but last time I was there with a kid she asked and they still had the cards (this was about 4 years ago though). They're like baseball cards with pictures of the different buses and boats. I don't think it's wildly popular because several of the drivers said they were out - but if your daughter loves the buses it's worth asking!

OMG us too. We are going back down to value starting this year after many tries at moderate. We are just getting 2 rooms now that we are a family of 5. I can't stand that at the moderates, you can be the first at the bus stop, and you will always get the group of 10 that get there right before the bus shows up and be the first to jump on, and all the people shoving on to a bus that is already 3/4 full when it pulls up.

My TA and I were emailing back and forth about the Disney Visa Card, and when I asked her about Free Dining, she replied:

"Anything new probably won’t come out till after June 15, when the deal they are doing now ends."

I really hope that's not what they're going to do, the thought of having to wait another month and a half is torture...
