Free Dining Extension ~ Oct-Dec

Good Morning! No, you have not missed anything. Disney Visa free dining is expected to go live on Monday, July 29, and general public on Thursday Aug. 1. However, for the first time in several years, the days following Thanksgiving were not in the "leaked" dates; but anything can happen. The dates right now include up to Nov. 23 and then do not pick back up again until Dec. 12. A lot of disappointed people, but Disney can change things, so do check back here, or give Disney a call on Monday or Thursday, just to make sure. Good luck!!!!

It would be nice if the changed things......I am not happy that they blacked out dates from 11/3 to 11/10. Would have to change my stay from 5 nights to 9 nights to be able to get the free dining offer.

You would have to check in on Nov 11 to get FD & would only be available for stay after that date not before. Could you switch your vacation to start on the 11th?

I plan on buying annual passes. Could I book w/ free dining & annual passes? or would I have to book it w/ 2 day tickets & then upgrade to annual passes after I check in?

I believe you have to book with 2day passes and upgrade.

Am I the only one trying to figure out what to do if I can't get FD for the resort I want???? I want POFQ and I will take any room category. If I can't get that than I was thinking about POR but I don't really want to stay there. POR royal rooms could be cool I guess but I am afraid the walk will be too far to everything. Preferred is already sold out for my dates. Then I was thinking a split stay between WL and the Dolphin (free with points) because I can't afford WL for the whole trip.

And I can call at 7 but I have to be done by 7:30 and if not then I can't call again until 8:30.....have to bring the kids to 2 different camps and they cannot be late because one has to catch a bus! AHHHHHHHHH! I need support!

My dates are Nov 28 checking out Dec 1, so the first 2 nights would be blacked out. Will I have to split into 2 reservations to get the discount on the last 2 nights? They are already different rates from the first 2.

I will also be getting an annual pass. I wonder when those rates will be released and if they have blackout dates?

We will miss out on this one. Booked a Disney Cruise almost two years ago for 11/30 - 12/7. We are staying at POR before the cruise but doesn't look like any of our dates will work, FD or RO. Boo Hoo!! Maybe there will be some Disney Magic somewhere

So I was wondering if you guys think we will be able to book check in on Oct. 23rd and then get the deal for the length of stay? In the past, as long as you checked in before the black-out begins, you were safe.

Can anyone speak to this?

As long as your check in day is on a Free Dining date, then yes, you get Free Dining for your entire stay.

Me too I am very flexible. First choice CBR any view, after that whatever mod has availability. Lol

Man, am I getting nervous. How certain are the sources that I'll be able to call tomorrow morning, as a Disney Visa holder, and change my current reservation? I am hopeful but still worried I will call for nothing.
Do I just tell them I am a cardholder and go from there or will the CM be stupified?

Depends on which CM you get. Some will be up go speed at the start and will know about the early FD offer for DV holders. Others won't be so you'll need to ask them to check with their supervisor or their morning memos. As many have said, you'll see people posting on Disboards about having gotten the FD discount applied very shortly after 7am. Good luck!

After being on hold for 20 minutes the young lady said "there has been false information posted on certain social media sites and she was sorry to say no Disney Visa holder specials are starting yet" She seemed very knowledgeable and apologetic (IN FOR A LONG STRESSFUL DAY-poor thing) Try not to be nasty to the CMs -it really is not their fault. Anyway---our vigil continues

Maybe they will release DV FD tomorrow. 30th is better than 29th lol?
