Free Dining Extension ~ Oct-Dec

Thanks for the response to my previous post. So if I wait until August 1st I should be able to call and get free dining without getting the Visa?...or is it for visa cardholders only? Thanks to all in advance for helping me figure this out.

Aug 1st is the GP (general public) date. No Disney Visa needed

Room only discounts will run from September 29 through December 23. Thanksgiving week is the only blackout dates during that time, November 23-29. All other dates are good to go.

I keep checking the Disney Visa site to see if their limited time offers page has changed the FD offer, but hasn't. When should I expect it to change if the offer starts Monday?

It will not be on their site until Monday, and probably a few hours after the deal has gone live. We will have confirmation on this site that it has gone live somewhere between 7:05am and 7:15am or so. People will literally post a confirmation while they are still speaking with the CM. This site is the best.

Hi smitch,saw you were on iv got a question for you. If your booking online for a ro for only one day,do you pay in full at the time you book the ress. I'm waiting to book it on Monday to get the ro discount so it would probably be about 150.00 for the one day and since you need to put down a deposit of no less that 200.00 I was wondering how that worked. Some people had said on another thread that you pay a portion of it and pay the balance when you arrive.

Room only stays only require one night's room rate for the deposit, with the rest due when you are there. Since you are only doing one day, I guess you would be paying in full. If you are talking about doing the Visa offer, you will have to call to book. Visa offers are not bookable online. The $200 deposit is for packages only.

I wouldn't ask for the code personally. It will be on your confirmation email and they're all different (value/qsdp, value/ddp, mod/ddp, etc). If the CM is clueless and you can't get them to verify with someone then hang up and call back.

I agree about the code. The codes will all be different depending on what you are booking. For example,

Person A: staying at POP with free QSDP could have a code of XY1

Person B: staying at POP upgrading to the regular DDP could have a code of XY2

Person C: staying at POP upgrading to the DxDDP could have a code of XY3

Codes for the different resort levels will all be different too. Definitely have the CM check with a manager if they say there is no discount.


Also, make sure you know the approx. price you are to pay when you call. There was a lot of confusion with the CMs booking the wrong offers for people when the FD and RO came out on the same day last time. Go over your email confirmations very carefully.

I think we are out of luck for FD, but I had a question about the RO discount. I had heard before that if you got a RO discount it was just that, a reservation for a room only. You are correct. A RO discount gives you a discount on the room portion only of your package. You can add on tickets and DDP if you'd like.

It depends on what resort, resort class and room type you have. It looks like it ranges between 25%-35%.

I did a split stay with FD in Sept., one night RO only, and I had to pay for that night in full. Hope that helps!

You guessed it: July 29! If any of you think it will be released then I will email her tomorrow and see if someone in her office can take care of things for me!!

RO will be released the 29th for DV holders and the 1st for GP. Hopefully someone is covering for her while she's away....next week is a very important week!
