Free Dining Extension ~ Oct-Dec

Ok. So if I have a MYW package (room & tix) & FD comes available, am I eligible?

Thx!! :-)

Only if there's availability in what you currently have.

For example, you may have say WL bunk beds, but when FD package comes out, those rooms are not an option. You would have to switch room types or even resorts.

Current PIN for example excluded AoA LM rooms, 3 br villas and campsites.

Yes - As long as there is availability at the resort/room category you are currently booked at. And there is no way to know until it is officially released and you call to add it.

Don't be discouraged. Until Disney officially announces it, it doesn't exist. I am not one to believe in rumors...but the *Free Dining for the Fall* ones seem to be coming strong and from some very reliable Dis'rs. I wouldn't bet my house on it, but I would be far from discouraged. :goodvibes

Thank you! That's what I was hoping. Another month of waiting may take years off my life ;)

3-digit. So what does that mean? Is it just some sort of tracking code?

3 digits are public offers. However there's apparently a round of email with a public code that has just rack rates without any discounts. Just advertisement.

Does anyone know the current restrictions on the fall FD PIN? We will be at WDW 11/21-11/28. Assuming that the PIN dates are released to the public, would we be able to get FD since we are checking in before 11/23 and extend it for the duration of our stay?

The only thing that matters for FD is the check in date. As long as you check in on a covered date (and there is an available room under the promotion), you can get FD for up to 14 nights.

IGNORE THIS... I thought there was a 'strike out' option...
Code:
No.

However you could do a split stay. You can set up a room only reservation for 11/21-11/23 and then start your FD package 11/23 to 11/28. You can get the tickets from your FD package up to 3 days in advance. You will not have dining privileges until 11/23 however.

Note that you will need to check out and check back in on 11/23. You will link your reservations and if both are same resort and room type, you might be able to keep the same. Otherwise, you would need to pack and move before 11am and back after 3pm.

Of course, you would want to get tickets to cover you complete stay.

Once dates are announced and assuming they are as the current PIN offers, you would have to call up and make the corresponding changes, but due to availability you need to make sure you don't run into problems therefore, you want to:

* Make a room only reservation for 11/21 - 11/23
* Make changes to your existing package to apply FD by modifying arrival date

Some have in the past make the mistake of shortening the arrival date to then find out there were no room only options. And when they tried to change back to keep the existing reservation, there was no availability and had to either change resorts or worse, screwed.

DUH!! Smitch is right - I guess I'm too tired and not seeing well. Based on the current PIN offer, it covers 11/11 to 11/23. So correct. As long as you check in within the covered dates, you can extend FD for up to 14 days.

A split stay is not necessary if the public offer matches the PIN dates. The 21st is a covered FD date. :thumbsup2

And to the poster who asked about the 3 digit codes, they are advertisements for rack rate and the code just tells the CM how you came about inquiring about a trip. It is just a marketing tool.

I have been stalking airfare for months and months. Won't budge under $525pp. Which is redic!!!!!!!!! They most we have ever paid was $228 last year.

Something just has to give in order for us to go. Either cheap air, FD, room discount. Something!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 2 vacations booked as a backup.

I am booked WDW 11/22-12/1

We have gotten FD the past 3 years

I'm hoping for FD too, but I booked southwest the week that they opened the November calendar up and got roundtrip flights from TX for $215 per person. I'm glad a booked when I did because they have gone up pretty consistently since then. Even the sales that have gone out have not been as low as I booked.

To put it in perspective, last July I paid $315 for RT tix, so I was very happy with the rate that I got this year considering it's for Thanksgiving week.

We paid 300 round trip for philly to mco. Most we have ever paid and I was not happy, but we were booking for 10 and no discounted rates had that many tickets available. :( 150 RT is excellent! Congrats!!!

I got really lucky on SW. From Salt Lake to Tampa 250 RT. Normally I pay between 3-450.

I haven't seen those fares again. I've been hoping to score one just to go visit my sister without the rest of the family.

Keep checking you just never know. That's how I got lucky.

I paid $814 for 4 round trip tickets from new castle to orlando. It really didn't change our drive time if we would have flown out of Philly. And flying out of bew castle was so much cheaper.

Me and my mom had called early last week and the cast member said that today we should check back because they would be making announcements. We havent been able to get through but I was wondering if anyone heard if there was an announcement about free dining in October. We pretty much had our trip paid for til we had to change the dates and lost the free dining.

2014 package rates were released and became bookable today. There is no news or real rumors as to when the next discount will come out or what it will be.

For all of you flying Southwest Airlines, Travel and Leisure magazine just ranked them number 3 on their list of safest airlines in the WORLD!!!:thumbsup2

That is good to know! None of our children have ever flown, and our youngest daughter is really scared. Maybe this will ease her mind a little, especially given the recent crash in San Francisco. Thank you for sharing that!
